Oregon @ USC

Post by dthomas=ddixon »

If anyone cares we're down 9 at half, 32-23. On a side note, I'm watching Gonzaga play Santa Clara. They've run multiple plays for their C & gotten him wide open looks for dunks... Can we please get Few? Or anyone who knows how to run some simple offensive sets for a potentially dominant big man like we have?!

You can find a live feed of the game here: http://www.channelsurfing.net/

Looks like we started the thread at the same time so I just deleted mine. Anyway, I agree about plays for the center. Big men have never been successful under Kent.

This better not mean that Kent keeps his job. I don't know if I have ever seen a team shoot as bad as USC did in the second half.

That was after a 30 ft 3 that did go in but there was a fair amt of time left on the shot clock. Even a blind dog finds his own ass sometimes i guess.

Why can we beat USC(who has been decent) but lose to several teams that are a lot worse? Maybe it's just because the pressure is off now.

Or maybe its because usc looked like they were shooting into a 2 in basket the whole second half

Good to see this team actually win tho. Its gotta be tough on the players to lose as much as they do

Good comeback by the Ducks, but I have to tell you, those were single-handedly the WORST announcers I have ever heard. It's almost like USC just grabbed two guys off the street and gave them microphones. They were talking about how the game was over with a full two and half minutes left, and the Ducks up only by 3.

I don't want them to finish strong though, because Kent will use that to his advantage. Hopefully Belloti sees the big picture. I will give the ducks credit for the win, although if USC makes any shots in the second half they win. Not sure if our defense was that good or USC just couldn't hit shots.
