He would definitely reel in the 2 T's from Jeff.

Definitely. The fact that we've gotten permision form Mizzou is very promising. After initial talk with him yesterday, we took the next step. IMO that means he showed high interest. With Stevens & Dixon we had those initial talks but thats where they ended. Us taking the next step & getting permission to seriously talk with Anderson is very encouraging.

Odds are that Anderson's agent has been talking to Kilkenny for awhile, if this is at the face to face stage.

Sounds good, so far.

Didnt someone mention that he had two kids on the team? Seems weird he would leave a situation like that if its true.

Looks like Kilkenny is headed for St. Louis. Not sure what for but may be a sign that talks are possibly progressing.

Anderson does not have any kids on the roster. The two kids in question are sons of a former teammate and good friend.

One of his friend's sons is Phil Pressey, a 5'10, 4* PG, who will be a freshman this fall... The other is Matt Pressey, a 6'2 JC SG.

This business of coaches' appearing to use the Ducks' interest as a way to get a better contract at their current school is getting old. I hope Kilkenny has had some on-the-job learning in that regard and really believed that Anderson was genuinely interested before actually sitting down with him.

"While his name swirls in discussions about Oregon's coaching job, Missouri basketball coach Mike Anderson is enjoying a round of golf - and not publicly discussing anything else - Friday afternoon at Fort Bliss' Underwood Golf Complex."

That really doesn't say much.

Jay Allen does not know anything more than us on this board. He said it, but ignore it... IMO.

mops: 1080 the fan is reporting that Adelman and Anderson are out because we don't want to offer more than 2 mil?

LOL what? I'm pretty sure we'd offer more than 2 mil to both..

That doesn't make sense since that seems to be about the going rate for a quality coach. If they want to spend less than 2 mil, then they would be going after an assistant coach or a mid-major head coach, which is not what most people want. The trip to St. Louis for Kilkenny could mean he could be meeting with another high-profile coach, Rick Majerus.
