Where's the Meltdown?

Final four my A$$, they will be good but there are teams with as good talent if not better in the country, so dont get too ahead of your self and say that they will make a final four like they are playing highschool teams in the tourny. I know its your opinion but thats just crazy.

Funny how often we hear fans complaining in one breath about the failure to keep 5 star players, such as Jones, instate, then write them off as, "One and Done".

Most true 5 star guys are probably thinking one and done... It will be interesting to see what happens if Oregon actually does start landing those kids consistently.

The only thing I see as a true negative, is the way it will affect things such as graduation rates and academic progress index, which have become so much more important in the 'new' NCAA.

God forbid the Ducks get a kid with an OchoCinco attitude toward academics on a regular basis.

Well, as long as we dont start hiring coaches like D. Erickson, I doubt we will be forced to deal with the likes of Ocho Cinco de Mayo.....or whatever he is calling himself today....What a classic tool that guy is...all the talent in the world....and is still a freakin punk and a disgrace to his sport..A rich freakin punk...but still a disgrace to his sport...

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I still think at the very least that the ducks can be an entertaining team to watch next season. Even without Porter, I think they can be better next season. Stay healthy, and have each player improve over last season.

Without Porter to hog the ball, I think the offense will have more movement and balance to it. Players will now no longer look to Porter to do everything. Players like Wilson and Williams need to become the drivers and creators that they are instead of just standing around the perimeter and passing it. The team last year didn't seem to be aggressive on either end of the court and teams would really take advantage of that.

Dude....Porter was really ALL the team had...EK had zero set plays, had zero defensive set ups...and the entire team therefore had zero half court offense and less defense...That Leaves one option..get the ball to the 3 point line and throw up a shot...Which is exactly what TP did...And was quite successful in doing so...Unfortunately, teams that rely on the 3 point concept and have zero else to offer, lose games....I realize that TP's shooting percentage was less than stellar, but....without him being there to throw up the shots, we would have run the shot clock out of time, over and over again...and that my friends is called a turnover...

I def. agree with that....Reliance on the 3's isnt generally adequate to win alot of games...It takes teamwork, execution....and some sort of a plan.....We havent had any of these in the recent past...Time for a change?...You bet it was....

Ignoring all the three point shots taken, there were plenty of games there for the taking this season, if only the Ducks had consistently made 50% or better of the shots taken inside 10 feet.

The inefficiency of the inside game was devastating.

Dana will have the team playing better basketball this year at the defensive end and the offensive end this year. I will assure anyone. Ernie was a good recruiter no doubt. Dana needs to prove his chops this year, november, and next year on recruiting at a high major level. At least he will take the blame himself game in and game out. Instead of blaming his players. It may take him a year or two to begin to compete in this league. But Ernie asked for forgiveness for his young players at least every couple of years. Sorry any love for Kent ball forgives his lack of adaptability in his coaching, as much as I appreciate the good few years he brought to our program, ie his recruiting Rid and Brooks and Luke Jackson to Oregon did help our program.. We have a real coach now, who will adapt to his players and change his coaching strategy and tactics to his players and the teams he plays. Not just run and and gun and hope.
