Latest SI Article on Brown
A decent read on where his head is while trying to escape it all.

Re: Latest SI Article on Brown
My favorite part of that article:
"Coach Kelly doesn't try to force me to do anything," said Brown, "We can just talk about stuff outside football. He's the best at that."
Sounds like he is really struggling with this decision and doesn't like the pressure that people are putting on him. Sounds like Kelly is taking the right approach with this kid. I still think Miami is the favorite, but I'm starting to like our chances a little more.

Very cool."Coach Kelly doesn't try to force me to do anything," said Brown, who received 15 calls Wednesday despite having communicated to coaches that he would not be returning any. "We can just talk about stuff outside football. He's the best at that."

I am not holding my breath on this one. He would be the biggest get since Snoop but we will see. I think LMJ is going to surprise a lot of people this year.

I also can't help but notice these parts of the CNN/SI story (bold type added by me for empahsis):
I'll hope as long as there's hope.
Combined with his Facebook "statements" directed at some UM folks, I'm thinking that, at least comparing UM and UO, Eugene is a much better place to "get away" . . .Bryce Brown, the nation's top-ranked tailback, was at a birthday party in Elkhorn, Neb., on Wednesday night. Staying in town with his aunt and uncle, the Wichita, Kan., native attended the festivities as a way to kill time during his mid-winter retreat (Brown graduated from East High in December). "I came out here to get away from everything," said Brown, who gave a verbal commitment to Miami late last February, but says he will not sign with the Hurricanes next Wednesday. "No one knows who I am here."
While in Nebraska, Brown is staying with his uncle, former Huskers middle guard Lawrence Pete, and his family. Listed as the "strongest Husker" from 1984-88 in the Nebraska media guides, Pete, Brown says, hasn't tried to influence his decision. "No one bugs me about the college choice out here," Brown said. "I can take a walk and think about things."
I'll hope as long as there's hope.
