I read in an earlier article that McKenna is so in step with Altman's style, that some people call him "Altman with a personality"...

Re: More news on staff
I wonder if the last spot will be for Yasir Rosemond since he has some good recruiting ties to the West Coast and the players really seem to like him. If not, that last spot is going to be hard to peg since he's got Fish with his West Coast connections and McKenna with his Midwest expertise and head coaching experience. They may hire someone who's good at working with post players or someone else with West Coast recruiting ties.

Re: More news on staff
Weird that he would leave a HC job to be and assistant, but he sounds like a great hire for UO.

Well being an assistant at a school in a major conference can be considered a step-up from a HC job in a mid-major.buckmarkduck wrote:Weird that he would leave a HC job to be and assistant, but he sounds like a great hire for UO.

Not sure how he lines up from an X/O standpoint, but he has a decent rep as a recruiter.

Wouldn't exactly be a bad hire and Altman would have a very well-rounded staff.duckgrad99 wrote:Looks like Tony Stubblefield from Cincinnati will complete Altman's staff.

He sounds like a great hire and a very good recruiter. He reeled in some great players while at UC and was pretty much their Payne.

Re: More news on staff
He coached in Texas when he started out, then moved on the New Mexico St where he eventually became the interm HC before landing at Cinncy, where along with being an assistant coach, he was the recruiting coordinator. So he does have west coast ties, as well as ties in Texas and the mid west and east coast.

Mops was saying that Stubblefield was crucial in bringing some top recruits to Cincinnati. I like our coaching staff.
