Lebron to Miami
The Heat are going to be insane, but they have too many stars now. Lebron will be overshadowed by Wade who has been the superstar in Miami for years. I would have gone to Chicago or New York.

Hopefully they never win s***. What a ego this guy has. IMO he is a total fn dbag. I know lots of people like him and idolize him...cant stand him. But most of the NBA's players have a crappy attitude nowadays.

Re: Lebron to Miami
In his interview, he said that he was a loyal guy, but this decision screams the opposite of that. He's looking out for himself. He wasn't willing to put in the rest of the work that was needed to win a championship in Cleveland. He wanted the fast-track instead of the hard work in building his own team. No matter how he sees it, Miami will always be Wade's team.

Can you blame the guy? The team support he had in Cleveland was HORRIBLE. I mean if Maurice Williams is your 2nd best player, then you're never going to win a championship. He went to a place where he's gonna likely win a championship finally.
Plus Wade + Bron alone is pretty nasty. Toss in Bosh and you got it rolling.

But all the moves they made were ones that James told them or allowed to make. James has to take blame for the failures, too. Plus, how can you win when you have only 4 players and will only have fill-in players that aren't up to snuff like what the Lakers and Celtics currently have. Right now, the Lakers and Celtics are still the frontrunners. I would even pick the Thunder over the Heat right now. I like that Durant re-upped to OKC with little fanfare and is willing to build something while James is quitting the building process with Cleveland and riding on someone else's coattails. He said that he wouldn't have the pressure of scoring 30 ppg or getting 10 rpg, but the big-time players would be willing to accept that kind of pressure. That pressure is what drives players like Bird, Magic, Jordan, and Kobe. LeBron has shown he doesn't want to be the leader of a team.UOducksTK1 wrote:Can you blame the guy? I don't blame him for wanting to go play with two of his good friends, and in my opinion most likely a better team, depending who else they get. I got the number one pick in my yahoo league coming up, and am thinking about taking durant instead of lebron. What's your guy's thought? Thanks

Durant would be better since he's going to be putting up better stats than LeBron, but you also can't go wrong with Kobe, even with his messed up finger.blazers2011champs wrote:I don't blame him for wanting to go play with two of his good friends, and in my opinion most likely a better team, depending who else they get. I know I am probably in the minority but I have never cared for Lebron. Anyone who labels themself "the king" while in high school....what words can you use about someone like that? Yes he is a great player...I hope he never wins a title...that would be awesome. I didnt watch it but his press conference last night sort of shows what type of person he is....people on espn were sayin it was drawn out big time. Nothing like promoting ones self to feed his ego.

I dont understand why everyone can hate on this decision? So your telling me that if you were in his shoes that you would stay in Cleveland and not win a title the rest of your career or move on and try and win it somewhere else. Also it is evident that the Cleveland fans have no respect for what he done not only for them but also the city as a whole the past 6-7 years. dont even get me started on the owner who has no class to begin with, acting like a school girl and making him out to be the player he is not. Do we need to remind the fans and more importantly the owner what it was like before LeBron?

This is exactly why i like college ball better. It's about kids
that give 100% all the time. Kids that may not make it to
the next level but play hard just the same. Sure you have
the one and done kids with ego's but they know if they dont
play hard and do the right things that the pro level may pass
them by. Do i blame Bron for going to Miami ? not really. Look
at Cleveland. they were not gonna get someone to help him.
The nba is a business. But what i don't like is how he went about
it. An hour long show to say where he was going ? I'd rather watch
paint dry then watch that. I'm really not an nba fan anyways. I watch
the blazers and that's about it. I just prefer college sports.

What he said... An hour long show reeks of an arrogant, self absorbed man desperate for attention.duckfan22 wrote:This is exactly why i like college ball better. It's about kids

Re: Lebron to Miami
I agree with the above posters about preferring college basketball to the NBA. I thought it was a shady move for Lebron to announce on tv that he was going to Miami. I also get a kick out of these NBA guys saying to leave Lebron alone because he is taking less money. So the guy goes from 120 mil to 100 mil. Big freaking deal. Also, the real "star" players don't need other star players to win a championship.

Re: Lebron to Miami
They tried to bring in Bosh and Amare Stoudemire last year, but LeBron nixed those ideas. The only deal he would agree to was the Shaq trade. If anything, he was forcing his way out even before yesterday's decision. The problem that I have with his decision (none with who he signed with) is the way he went about it. He should have called the Cavs before the show started to let them know beforehand. He didn't even have the common courtesy to let Cleveland management know until a minute before his announcement. Even then, it was one of his associates and not him personally. He should also never have done it on ESPN since he basically publicly kicked a whole region in the gonads when it could have been done much quieter and probably would have led to less animosity towards him. By using a couple statements where he refers to himself in the third-person a couple times, it showed a lack of class on his part and my respect for him is essentially gone.duckfan22 wrote:This is exactly why i like college ball better. Re: Lebron to Miami
I agree...aside from the horrible ESPN show (that was a bad idea), LBJ I can't imagine how hard of a decision this was for him to make. We all love our home towns so you know leaving Cleveland was hard for him to leave but when there was a chance to play with DWade and Bosh you know these guys were just giddy at the idea. Now some are saying he's selfish and doesn't want to be the alpha dog...come on get real! Her is and will always be a team player but now he will have players that will drain the last shot and want to take the last shot!!Oregon Ownage wrote:I dont understand why everyone can hate on this decision? I had figured Chicago was the better choice but then he'd have to battle the MJ legacy...I'm sure her said no way I want my own path.
I didn't care the the show but I think he made the right choice!
GO DUCKS!! WTD!
