They said on the news tonight that Sam Smith of the chicago trubine was reporting about rudy going to the bulls for taj gibson. Personally I would take that trade, best one of all the one's that I've heard with Rudy. Taj adds some defense and toughness, which never hurts.

I would do that in a heartbeat. Back-up PF and a long term solution at point are the two biggest holes on the roster, and Gibson would take care of the former. I think he's like 25 or 26 years old, so he's much more mature than your typical second year forward, as his excellent rookie season would attest. Get it done.

Blazers open Oct. 27th against the clippers, play the bulls November 1st and play at golden state on christmas. I can't wait for the season. They asked on nba tv Craig Sager and Chris Webber a team in the west to contend with the lakers and they both said the blazers.

That's going to ruin Christmas. Golden State is our own personal house of horrors.

Ugh. Darren Collison moved for Trevor Ariza in a huge 4-team trade this morning. I would have rather chased Collison than Chris Paul, if only because of the plausibility of landing Collison is much greater. New Orleans screws themselves (Paul bails when his contract is up and they're left with nothing), Houston makes themselves worse (how many minutes is Courtney Lee going to play behind Kevin Martin? They gave up a starter for a back-up, and Battier is starting to get old). Indiana is the huge winner here. They get their PG of the future (which they desperately needed) for Troy freaking Murphey, and all they had to do was take on Posey's contract. Larry Bird for the win!

I heard on the local news in Portland that I think it was espn had the blazers as the favorites to win the northwest division this year. I was just wondering if anybody else saw this and could post any of it, I don't know if was the insider on espn cause I did see they had a preveiw on each team on espn.com Thanks

Didn't see it, but I could believe it. Depends when Oden comes back, probably.

I'm psyched for the season.

That's because everyone in our division got noticeably worse.

ya i found it through blazers.com, it was from john hollinger on espn i believe. Our division definitly didn't get worse. I'm also excited for the season, though I'm taking durant in my fantasy team so I'm going to be rooting for him. I heard greg and some other blazers were at the game on saturday, does anybody know who else besides greg was there? thanks

Yeah, I think Utah actually got better. I've always thought Boozer was insanely overrated, and promoting Millsap to the starting unit should pay dividens. They have an insane center combo with Jefferson and Okur. Losing Matthews to us might hurt, but CJ Miles and Raja Bell should get it done. In any case, they'll be built on the high-low game between Deron and all their talented bigs.

Denver might implode, though. Carmelo and K-Mart aren't happy, Billups probably won't stand mediocrity and could join in on the trade talk, and then you're left with, like, Nene and Ty Lawson.

OKC got better. James Harden should take the next step in his second year, and Cole Aldrich is a legit NBA center, and they have the luxury of bringing him along slowly behind Krstic. Westbrook should only get better, too.

Hell, even the T-Wolves got better, even though they'll still be pretty bad. Martell is an upgrade, they got Michael Beasley for nothing, and Jonny Flynn will be in year two.
