You would think that if he wanted to go to USC, he would just choose Miami. The good weather and campus are probably comparable. Miami has "tradition" too and his brother plays there. The only thing USC has is a more recent run of successful seasons. Brown hasn't listed that as one of the things he needs in his choice though.

Why isn't USC trying to steal a different RB? What about Wood? He is from Cali and chose to go to ND. USC should go after him instead.

I think it's because Caroll realizes what a guy like Brown could do in our Offense and probably thinks if we get him we can compete with them for the conference title.

Could this be another of his patented, "Make a late offer to keep a guy from committing to Oregon", stunts?

Backroom Petey to staff: "We don't really need him, but I sure as hell don't want to play against him for 3 or 4 years!"

I will say two things I really enjoy you fan base your are honest and open minded, unlike those ranters in the mid west. Jhop thanks for the apology, I was a bit offended when Mops sounded like I was making this up...

For a guy as smart as Bryce seems, going to SC as a RB sounds ridiculous if you want lots of playing time and stats. He'd be behind Stafon Johnson, Gable, and McKnight. And dont forget Marc Tyler who was one of the top RB's two years ago and they already have two elite running back commitments for next years class. Bryce don't go down the same route Hershel Dennis, Emanuel Moody, Alan Bradford, and Broderick Greene discovered. Come join the line of 1000 yard rushers for Oregon.

Next Year JOHNSON, GABLE AND MCKNIGHT will be gone... He would have only tyler to contend with for time...

This is our worst nightmare....USC with a RB need and a Pro Style offense stealing Bryce would be a heartbreaker...

Sounds pretty crowded, I wouldn't call that a "need". Bryce really doesn't want to redshirt. He's said so in fact. I still think this little stunt won't pan out for Petey. Green and Yellow for BB.

I'm not so sure McKnight will leave early. He's not thought of highly in draft projections and I think Reggie Bush's lack of success in the NFL will scare people too. He's not even as explosive or big as Bush and they both can't run between the tackles. I wouldn't be suprised to see McKnight for two more years.
