Cal has fired Justin Wilcox. Nick Rolovich is taking over as interim HC.

It makes sense from the fact that there's some familiarity between the two, but I don't see it happening.

Cal can do better if they actually want to put effort in. They are a great school in a football hotbed state, if they want try in football for the first time in a decade they could easily succeed in a weak ACC.
If he is their coach next September it will be his first time coaching in almost 5 years (minus this one-off interim spot against SMU this weekend).
