You guys seem to be really underestimating the need for a QB in this class.

It is by far and away the #1 priority.

In 2011 we will have Thomas with some experience and whoever we recruit this cycle will have one year. Any QB's we recruit in the next cycle will be incoming freshmen in 2011.

When is the last time that we only used one QB during a season? 2 QB's?

If they don't get a good QB in this class we will start the 2011 season with Darron Thomas and some true freshmen behind him. How well does anybody here think that will work out?

This is assuming that Hawkins ends up playing another position. If Chip thinks a kid who couldn't garner a single D1 offer is the QB of the future then things are different but I can't see a guy who couldn't get an offer from Idaho as being able to pilot our offense if Thomas goes down.

I'm not underestimating it. I'm just not that concerned. It's not February yet and when was the last time our recruiting class was any where near complete before games are even played.

Way way way too early to worry. Also, Any QB we get doesn't have to be rated really high by recruiting services. He just has to be a fit for the system. It's so early, we don't even know what quality JC players will be available.

I hope we get Munchie Legaux the QB from New Orleans. I can just imagine the T-Shirts for his fan club...

Anyhow, he's a four star dual threat QB recruit (rivals) and claims an Oregon offer with a pretty solid offer list.

I was going to ask about Munchie and what people thought/have heard our chances are with him.
