Makes sense, by the time a player would have completed their mission, Taggart would have already been 2 schools down the road.

More examples of why Taggart is a "great" guy.

Was Hamani Stevens a Chip recruit or was that still MB?

Pretty sure Hamani was Chip.

Stevens was a Bellotti guy as he RS in 2008, took his mission, and then came back in time for the 2011 season.

Mark Asper is the one I remember...not sure if the ducks were into him before he took his mission or not. I think he was a Bellotti recruit.

Asper was recruited by Oregon in 2004, went on his mission, and then redshirted the 2007 season. Brandon Bair was another guy recruited under Bellotti that showed up in 2006 after doing his 2 year mission and ended up being a decent player for the Ducks.

Oregon has made Manoa's top 3, along with UCLA and Utah. He'll be visiting Oregon Jan. 12 thru Jan. 14 but Utah will get his final visit during the last weekend of January. He'll then announce his commitment on January 31st.
