Looks to me like a longshot for the Ducks is being generous. So its a non-issue.

Ortiz committed this afternoon to rowing the boat at Minnesota. Had Ducks in his final 4.

Not a lot of players pick Minnesota. Even less pick Minnesota over Oregon. Throw in that we just took Minnesota's DB coach, and this is real weird.

Coaches supposedly cooled on Ortiz and rumor was he didn’t have a commitable offer and was a backup option that we would circle back to if needed.

They beat Auburn. Fleck is one of the most impressive coaches in the country. And maybe the kid likes snow. They aren't a chicken little at this particular point in time.

If Ortiz could have committed to Oregon or Washington he would have. Both passed on him for the time being. I don’t know if he even winds up at Minnesota, he’s never even visited there. I bet he drops to a three star soon.
