FYI, I don't really watch highlight tapes until after NSD if at all anymore, but I have seen both Noah Sewell and Darnell Washington on QB11's breakdowns. My goodness, both of them are absolutely deserving of their 5 star rankings and will be immediate contributors if not immediate game changers as freshman. They're both incredibly talented and gifted.

FYI, I don't really watch highlight tapes until after NSD if at all anymore, but I have seen both Noah Sewell and Darnell Washington on QB11's breakdowns. My goodness, both of them are absolutely deserving of their 5 star rankings and will be immediate contributors if not immediate game changers as freshman. They're both incredibly talented and gifted.

Noah Sewell is amazing. Dude is 260 pounds and moves like a DB. At the summer camps the scouts couldn't believe it. I just watched Darnell Washington's, and it looks like someone put an NBA power forward on a HS football field. I didn't think we had a chance with this kid, and it's probably still a tiny chance. If he wants to play TE then he would be an absolute monster in this offense. Hopefully he sees how much we use the TE and wants some of that action.

Hopefully, he'll be able to learn from the situation and it's a one time thing. I'm assuming the staff will be aware and will be able to find out if it's a recurring thing. Usually, these are one time things. I guess the staff just needs to find out if he's more Blount (one time act out) or Burfict (constantly acts out)? Generally speaking, almost everyone is more Blount than Burfict.

But a 17 year old getting hot headed in a football game doesn't mean he's bad news. It is different from Jalen Hall committing armed home robberies or Austin Moloata driving around and tweaking.

This was not Blount-like. He was blowing up at teammates and got into a physical altercation with his coach. Poor or not, buyer beware. I would not be surprised if the SEC teams he has been “favoring” may be cooling on him. I sure hope he pulls it together. The guy is a specimen.

Sure he can be Blount-like. My example was that Blount was a one-time issue. So this guy flipped out, and can learn from it and put it in his past. Alternatively, he can be like Burfict, and never learn.

Based on the linked article he has a horrible home situation. Who knows what happened in his personal life the day of the game you witnessed. Maybe the behavior is indicative of who he really is, maybe not. This is where we need to trust the coaching staff and the culture of the football program. They know a lot more than we do.

Very insightful article. Sounds like he could really use another strong male role model/figure in his life, ie CMC.

Weird that they're saying he's the best looking TE prospect to come out in a decade. Read a few other articles all stating that Arik Gilbert is the best looking TE prospect they've seen in a decade.

Because A) Washington might be the best prospect in the entire country.

B) Getting ejected isn't the same thing as being addicted to herion.

C) It is football. Teams want and need a few, let's say, enthusiastically aggressive players.


So unless there is a pattern of behavior which suggests he is so out of control that he will never see the field, he's an obvious take--who from all accounts, we have no shot at landing. Not going to blink an eye at an ejection where he 'acted like an *******'.
