And per usual SEC and ACC are overhyped, when will I learn my lesson and stop listening to these “experts” that guarantee the SEC and ACC will dominate the tourney?

While I agree that the SEC is getting too much hype, I have no idea where you’ve heard the ACC get hyped. Everyone I’ve listened to has stated that it’s very bad this year. That’s one reason people were in disbelief that UNC got in, given their ACC record in that conference. The conference got the same number of teams in the tourney as the Mountain West, so clearly the committee agreed, outside of the inexplicable UNC choice.

You might be conflating people’s belief that Duke is a favorite with the ACC being good. Duke is a great team in a bad conference.

I'm of the mind that the southeastern conference is the best in the country this year, but I heard a commentator say it was the best of all time and thought he was joking.

Yep, happy Oregon didn't get Drake in the first round.

For context, Kansas is a 7 seed and was 6-11 against quad 1. Ole miss is a 6 seed and was 8-10. Purdue is a 4 seed and was 7-10.

I honestly know next to nothing outside of Oregon for college basketball, I can name like 2 players outside of Oregon. I’m a tax CPA so I really don’t have any free time for sports this time of year, I only have time for half of the basketball games and some duck baseball games as background noise while working. I listened to Autzen Audibles last night and afterwards it went to some NCAA tourney preview podcast and the guys picked each game and were all over the SEC and ACC, guaranteed a Louisville win too, so I let that cause me to make some last minute changes in my brackets for the worse.

Michigan hung on to beat a tough UC San Diego after they missed a potential game-tying three at the buzzer.

Great game with Michigan and San Diego that went down to the last shot. Michigan keeps the Big 10 undefeated at 4-0. Hopefully the Ducks can follow suit tomorrow. I don't care about other Big 10 teams, but it does bode well for the level of competition the Ducks are accustomed to vs the rest of the country.

Including play in games, heres where things stand after 3/20 from the multi-bid conferences.

ACC: 1-2
Big East: 4-0
Big Ten: 4-0
Big 12: 3-1
Mountain West: 0-2
South directional: 4-3

For Context:

Ole Miss 5 SOS
Purdue 13 SOS
Kansas 12 SOS

vs

Louisville 58 SOS

And more context: No team ranked ahead of Louisville had less quad 1 wins than them.

Clearly Quad 1 wins and SOS carry more weight than record, which generally they should...
