Re: Lache Seastrunk
Just bookmarked Lache's YouTube HL video. After watching this, I've decided he's my #1 Favorite Prospect and all I want for Christmas from him is an Oregon signed LOI!
That kid has the best combination of vision, acceleration, agility, and break-away speed I've seen (PERIOD). Did I mention break-away speed? This kid would win the Heisman in the Oregon Spread, no doubt. Might rush for 2,000 yards...each season!

Re: Lache Seastrunk
I dont think Seastrunk gets scared away by us having LaMichael James. Seastrunk will likely redshirt this next year to learn the offense just like James did. As far as Dontae Williams.. would be competition for carries and there were a few times if looked at the lineups we actually had both James and Barner in the backfield. Not often but couple times we did. Guess would call it a triple option. The other thing to consider is Darron Thomas will be more of a passer than a runner so maybe Seastrunk will fit in more with that. I personally think going to see a lot more of the 2 backs in coming years from Oregon. Will be hard for defenses to key on one player.

Rivals has a new release on him - titled visit was off the charts... Can anyone with a pass to their site sum it up?

Apparently he raved about his visit which couldn't hurt. That's all I could read since I'm not a subscriber.

Re: Lache Seastrunk
Definitely nice to hear that he had a great visit. I can only imagine that the atmosphere leading up to the Rose Bowl is an exciting one to experience!
As I've read many times, the best aren't afraid to come in and compete. That's Kelly's moto, so if Lache comes to Oregon it'll be a great sign that he's got a good attitude and is likely to fit into the program well.
I wonder if the visit was supposed to be 'secret' because he's a silent commit elsewhere and is having second thoughts.
Hopefully Lattimore still visits as well. The Ducks must be doing something right if they can get the top 2 backs in the country to visit!

Yeah, it's called recording overall Rushing Yard statistics that rank in the top 7 in the Nation, three consecutive years...!hendrg wrote:The Ducks must be doing something right if they can get the top 2 backs in the country to visit!

Re: Lache Seastrunk
[quote="NCDucks09"]Why would Lache come to Oregon? LMJ is the same type of back that he is, but has two more years in the system and 3 more to play. Dontae just committed, and will be the same class, so someone is going to lose carries and be unhappy.
Granted, I hope we land him, getting the #1 RB in the nation can do nothing but help us win or get to an NC. If he did, big 'IF', he would redshirt his first year for sure.[/q
It's simple, If he is that talented then Kelly will create a new position to get him the ball.. I'm sure he has been told that.

Re: Lache Seastrunk
Kelly is starting to embrace one of USC's recruiting tenets: recruit the best and tell them that they will have to compete. This works for many recruits since it's a challenge to them and you get ones that will compete hard in practice to get into the games. I don't think Kelly and the coaches want anybody that isn't willing to compete for a spot and just wants to be handed position. Kelly is willing to play anyone as long as they can play.hendrg wrote:Definitely nice to hear that he had a great visit. I'm a subscriber and, although I can't say verbatim what he said, it went a little something like this...
He's very impressed with Chip...
Loves the offense...
Says it could be a "perfect fit"...
Rated us off the charts.
There's more and it's all positive.
He's "seriously" considering the Ducks.

Could this be the year we sign a top player?? Could it be a spring
board to even better things to come. Boy I love the direction our
recruiting has taken the last few years. Now just lock him up....
