Lache Seastrunk
Has there been any reports about how his trip went this weekend? He would be an unreal addition to an already strong recruiting class.

Re: Lache Seastrunk
He seemed to have a very good visit according to those that talked with him and saw him at practice. Of course, nearly every recruit that visits Oregon is impressed and has a good time.jimmy12 wrote:Has there been any reports about how his trip went this weekend? Hopefully while at practice he envisioned the type of damage he could do in this offense and that is enough to overcome the distance factor.

He's from Texas. Distance isn't usually a huge factor with Texas recruits. I think distance is a much bigger factor with Lattimore.

He is most likely getting home around now. News will trickle out in a few days.

I thought so too, but of course if you look at his highlight video you can't help but be amazed at his break away speed and amazing agility. One of the best if not the best highlight video of any running back this year. Even Lattimore.

Still a coveted player by me and others despite the fact of his poor statistics this year.

Trust me, that article didn't sway my opinion that the ducks do great things with a back like Seastrunk.

Re: Lache Seastrunk
The article didn't sway my opinion, but his team record shows that something was lacking on the Temple squad...
What was the depth of talent around Seastrunk?
Is the level of coaching suspect?
Seems to me, if you have that level of talent available, most coaches would use it until the opponent proved they could stop it. If Lache is the only real threat on the team, defenses would be pulling a NickA and stack the box to stop him.
Being a one trick pony can be a losing proposition.

Re: Lache Seastrunk
Why would Lache come to Oregon? LMJ is the same type of back that he is, but has two more years in the system and 3 more to play. Dontae just committed, and will be the same class, so someone is going to lose carries and be unhappy.
Granted, I hope we land him, getting the #1 RB in the nation can do nothing but help us win or get to an NC. If he did, big 'IF', he would redshirt his first year for sure.

Re: Lache Seastrunk
I think LMJ and Seastrunk are similar in speed and build, but watching both, LMJ is much more 'sudden'... Watch laMike make a cut, and you will see somebody breaking an angle trying to keep up.
Seastrunk seems more deliberate in his running, and looks as if he tries to follow his blockers more.
That may change if he comes to Oregon, where gaping holes seem to be the norm.

Well, injuries could always happen. Players can compete against other players and beat them out for a starting job. Players might not qualify or could get suspended. Players could share the field with others. There are a lot of factors. Having James ahead of him right not shouldn't scare a back Like Seastrunk from coming to Oregon.
