No matter how the recruiting situation shakes out, this team was going to have serious holes in it due to Kent's lack of recruitment and coaching and subsequent dismissal. This team has only 2 actual post players in Dunigan and Jacob (Catron is not a post by any measure due to his height and Singler due to his weight and overall playing style). There are no shooters that would help spread out a defense; it's a team made up of slashers and drivers. Polee and Loyd aren't going to help any of these situations since they don't fit any positions of need and all they really do if we get them is give the team some extra bodies. Altman is going to have his job cut out for him to get a winning record in conference.

My two biggest keys to success next season:

1. Dunigan needs to live up to his potential.

2. We need someone to step up and be a consistent shooter.

Loyd would fill a huge need. We need another good PG badly. I would agree that Polee doesn't fill a need but at the same time he'd be a great addition. He could also play in the post with his height if needed.

I also think that with some better coaching & an actual offense we will see our guys shooting much better. Guys like Sim, Williams & Wilson would really benefit from a structured offense.

More than likely he will but the NCAA has rejected similar claims before.

I have a little scoop about terrence jones and my sister told me he loves Oregon and wants to come and has talked with the new coaches, just he dosnt want to get to close to the program because he wants to go to the NBA after 1 year 2 years max but he are still in the mix we just gotta wait till 330 but dont lose hope!

even tho im not a fan of 1 and done. I would love to see players come
here and play for 4 years. I think in this case if the ducks were to get
Jones it would help recruiting for the next year. If he comes and the ducks
have a good year, make tourney then that would have to help.
Am i looking at this wrong ? I wish the nba would require a 4 year degree
to get in. players would be further along, college ball would be more competitive. It will never happen but thats just how i feel.

not sure i believe that, the contact period ended april 21st which led back into a quiet period: http://basketball.about.com/od/basketba ... period.htm which means jones can visit KU and have contact with them while on the visit. but unless he unofficially visited oregon in the last 2 days (and his mother said he wouldn't do that), he hasn't spoken with our staff, because that would be a violation.

Isn't it just the same as football? We can't contact him but he can call us if he so chooses?

I don't know about "not looking good". To me, it would be awful if he signed with UW. If he goes to UK, then he's probably going to be one and done.

If I were in his situation, I would go to KU. I think it's the best all around school that has offered him. Great basketball facilities, nice college town, solid academics, great coach, long history of successful players in the pros, team consistently contends for the national championship.

He and my sister have a good relationship, she said he contacted the coaches. He also has became pretty close to Kenny payne so we will see.

Not hopeful that he'll come here since he seems like someone who wants to get to the NBA as fast as possible and the only real schools that would allow that are Kansas and Kentucky, with Kentucky being the most likely. With Payne possibly not being on the staff, I think he'll pass on Oregon.
