And you are here to only comment on other posters, not the game. Say what you want but the biggest dumpster fire has been from our Oregon Ducks tonight.

No arguments here about how the offense has been a big letdown, specifically, Dante. The game has been hard to watch. The reactions to that by some are pretty extreme. Say what you want…

This is on the coaches. Insert any college QB and we’d be having the same issues. Mendoza was a 2* and just pretty good at Cal, but Indiana has made him into a real star.
Mendoza won the Heisman, even if the award is flawed, Mendoza is one of the top 5 players overall in CFB. Can't rely a HS evaluation once a guy has game experience in college. Not everybody develops at exactly the same rate.
Are you agreeing with me? Not sure what your point is. As I said, he was just ok before Indiana.
Sorta but not entirely? I think we'd be in better shape if Oregon had Mendoza and Indiana had Moore. But that wouldn't change the fact that Indiana is destroying us at the LOS.
Mendoza being a 2* says more about the talent evaluators than it does about Mendoza. They still have bad misses (the evaluators do) despite how much they insist that scouting has advanced tremendously.
Yeah we probably would be better off with Mendoza. I just doubt he’d be this lights out under Stein though. I think being at Indiana has made him the player he is right now.

Lanning needs to elevate the standard. Sure beating Penn State in double OT is fun and pulling out a close victory over Iowa and shutting out Tech, but it’s been a glaring issue all season that our offense does not execute in big games, and that hasn’t been fixed. These 3 turnovers never would happen to a team that executes well, and this is the 15th game of the season, not 2nd. At this point in the season the execution issues are unforgivable.
And please duck fans stop with the injury/portal excuses, yes it sucks but Jay Harris has been the best player on the field in an Oregon jersey, Hill has played all season, by now he and Dante should be able to execute a basic PA on a screen.

Nope. Outside of the game thread dumpster fire over reactions, there is some rational and sane conversation.

Fair enough, but don’t you think duck fans have a right to be frustrated? It’s one thing to lose a close game but for the third straight season with natty hopes on the line we look embarrassing in a rematch.

Cheers, guys, to the last time we ever have to suffer through Will Stein calling our offense!

Yikes, Lanning can’t be looking forward to meeting with Knight and Mullens post game.

Hill has exclusively been used in running situations or lined up at WR, because he’s a young RB that struggles with where to be in pass protection. On that play, he was in the wrong spot, which is why they’ve shielded him from those situations. It’s obviously not entirely to blame, but the entire RB room going up in flames the week of the game is having a huge impact. The running game obviously takes a hit, and all of their best RBs in pass protection aren’t able to go, so the sim pressures are getting home. Whittington was in for pass protection on the TD pass and held up. Obviously Moore doesn’t feel as comfortable with the others guys in there.

You clearly do since you can’t help but come into every game thread and whine about anonymous posters not acting up to your standards.

Fans always have the right to be frustrated. The first half was really bad. Dante has played really poorly. The o-line warts are on full display. Playing the transfer portal RB as your main guy has not been ideal. Putting the defense in really bad spots because of turnovers has been costly. All true. Some reactions to all that have been extreme. That is true as well.

At this point Lanning needs to be looking at his contract as well. This is two years in a row he has been absolutely smoked off the field in the first half. It's not even competitive. TWO YEARS IN A ROW.
