One of the players the Dodgers traded was former UO pitcher Scott McGough.

the yankees tried to get him 2-3 years ago, but seattle would have taken a large chunk of new york's farm system to make it happen. now that he's on his last legs, the yanks got him for next to nothing. your yankee friend should know that new york needed another outfielder.

I wonder how much playing time he will get if he continues to hit .260. I would like to see him make a run for 3k hits, but it won't happen if his playing time is cut.

m's are playing slightly better than they were... 7-3 in their last 10, 10-6 since the all-star break. felix, vargas, and beavan are all pitching very well. the offense has shown signs of life. they're still a lock to finish dead last in the west considering the rangers, angels, and a's are 3 of the 4 best teams in the al, but with the pitching help coming up through the system a strong finish and push towards 74-78 wins could build some nice momentum going into 2013.

IE, we hosted a 4 game series against KC. We will start losing again against Toronto.

... and seattle takes the series from toronto, going for the sweep tomorrow.

this little run could end tomorrow, but there's no denying the m's are playing some fine baseball right now. vargas has the best era in baseball in july, felix is fourth, beavan doesn't qualify but he's been pretty much unhittable in his three starts since being called up again. and the offense is scoring runs.

Vargas went 5-0 in July and Felix went 3-0, would've been 4-0 but bullpen blew his last start. Nice to see them playing well now, and I too can't wait to see the young starting pitchers.

Where Smoak and Ichiro that much of rally killers for Seattle? Wow, they leave and suddenly Seattle can score AT home.

back down to earth, at this point, just lose as much as possible. I'll take the higher draft pick
