That’s what I’m reading too! So stoked!

With seven potential spots left it now comes down to these players in no particular order.

High Chance:
Chase Cota
Talanoa Hufanga
Jalen Hall
Devon Williams
Jashuan Corbin
Penei Sewell

Medium Chance:
Jaylen Waddle
Marquez Ezzard
Kalon Gervin (fringe high interest guy)
Tyreke Smith

Low Chance:
Andrew Faoliu
Isaac Crocker
Sam Taimani (possible Sewell backup plan)
Michael Thompson
Solomon Tuliaupupu

Anybody I’m missing?

Good list Candian!

I will adjust one name and bring Waddle up. I think they will have to tell 1 of the 5 star recruits no. (which is insane)-- and I think it's Hall. I also think they's push to bring 31 in the class which means there could be some transfers in addition to grads. If they finish below, I would be over the moon.

Chase Cota
Talanoa Hufanga
Devon Williams
Jashuan Corbin
Penei Sewell
Jaylen Waddle

Peterson is interesting. His Twitter is ALL Ducks. (for quite a while) and yet we haven't heard his name since early in the cycle. I am curious whether Elijah Winston took that spot?

JJ Peterson did not have his spot taken by Winston. JJ is the kind of player you take over anybody. He's elite. On another website, someone posted an article about JJ having a child. Made it sound like he wasn't leaving the South for that reason. The odds of him becoming a Duck are teeny-tiny. His Twitter might be all Ducks because he is playing up his commitment or maybe he emotionally wishes he could leave or whatever.

Having a child changes the game. We saw this last year with Jeff Thomas. I would put him leaving the south at .5%

I believe it depends on how many early entries you can ensure. If the Ducks can get 8-10, then I believe they can sign 20-22. Again, there may be some transfers or anticipated attrition that will help with the numbers.

I think you can only have so many EEs (5, I think) that can count towards last year's class. The only way we can fit over 30 is if we have blueshirts and grayshirts. I wonder who we'll do that to...

The rules may have changed with the early signing day, but there is no set number of early enrolees. I don’t know the exact procedure to signing them but the way it works is each class can only have a maximum of 25 signees, however back-counting occurs which sees players being quasi-assigned to earlier classes is where the EE’s come in. So when players graduate early and sign their financial aid agreements they are retroactively assigned to the previous class, or something like that. It’s confusing as heck and I don’t even try to fully understand it.

I am very skeptical of 32 players being signed in this class because that is really high but we will see a clearer picture come December 20th since I don’t think you have to be an EE to sign your NLI.

From the NCAA manual

13.9.2.3 Limitation on Number of National Letter of Intent/Offer of Financial Aid Signings—Bowl
Subdivision Football. [FBS] In bowl subdivision football, there shall be an annual limit of 25 on the number
of prospective student-athletes who may sign a National Letter of Intent or an institutional offer of financial
aid from December 1 through May 31. [D] (Adopted: 1/16/10 effective 8/1/10, Revised: 1/14/12 effective 8/1/12)
13.9.2.3.1 Exception—Counter During Same Academic Year. [FBS] A prospective student-athlete
who signs a National Letter of Intent or an institutional offer of financial aid and becomes an initial counter
for the same academic year in which the signing occurred (e.g., midyear enrollee) shall not count toward the
annual limit on signings. (Adopted: 1/14/12 effective 8/1/12)

Near the bottom of page 117 http://www.ncaapublications.com/product ... s/D117.pdf. It doesn't appear there is a limit.

This bodes well! The only other conflicts will be the cap of 85 scholarships and whether the staff is looking to spread out the classes a bit. Next year looks like a heavy hitting class!

They have to enroll in January to be counted in last year's class. Not even spring enrollees count.

If the Ducks load up on this current recruiting class (30+), the next recruiting class is going to be really smallish. Next season they will be at (or very near) the 85 scholarship limit and there will be only 9 scholarship seniors on the roster (assuming Malik Young is allowed to play next season). There will probably be several transfers and all that, but even with that factored in, it is still going to be a small class.

Also have to account for Herbert and others testing the NFL Draft waters early.
