No one was supposed to find out about this visit at all, so maybe the parents are here. Seems possible considering the fact that they were hiding the visit.

A recruit visiting with family from a long distance is always significant. First of all, it shows that a recruit is not simply taking advantage of a fun, free trip. A recruit and his family would not be spending a significant amount of money out of their own pocket to visit a school if they were not seriously considering the school. Having the family there also gives all of the coaches, including the head coach who has restrictions on the amount of off-campus visits he can have with a family, the opportunity to sell the school to the family face to face and take them around to show all the school has to offer.

There are obviously other factors involved in a recruit making a decision, and having the parents come with them does not guarantee anything, but the coaches definitely prefer and encourage the parents to come if possible.

I Agree. The top running back recruit in the country might as well be Brad Pitt as far as College Football fans are concerned.

According to DT and DSA, the visit was supposed to be kept secret. But that didn't happen obviously. Even if it was kept secret I'm sure someone in Eugene would've seen him and known who it was and told everyone though.

Clarification: Actually the "Lache's visit supposed to be secret" bit of info is per DSA, not both.

When a top recruit like this visits a place like Oregon, I wouldn't expect it to be kept a secret.

Yeah, I bet word would've gotten out eventually even if the eDuck guy didn't say anything
