Oh hey, you made a post about football. Keep doing that!
I wish game threads did more of that and less of pointing fingers at coaches and players.

Not meaning to get involved, but when you get your ass handed to you, and there is no finger pointing, do you chalk up the loss simply to luck?
I should clarify. Maybe finger pointing is not the right description. It is more along the lines of wishing a player or coach would leave when they have a bad game or claim a coach or coordinator has no business being on the staff when the results are bad. They ignore the player or coach’s body of work.

You don’t wish it to hit the portal.

Also, when other posters point out we melt down, call names, demand firings and transfers to leave, maybe the best response isn’t to call them names and tell them to leave.

I get it. We love the Ducks. We are invested. This hurts. But My God some of you need to grow the eff up.
You're missing the point. At this level either you have it or you don't. There is no middle ground. Dante doesn't have it. He folds like a two dollar bill under pressure. It's time to move on.
You’re missing the point that guys are capable of improving with experience. Expecting Moore to be the same guy next year is asinine.

Depends on who stays/goes/declares. But he has to have his tail between his legs when meeting Mullens and Knight.

You see that throw from Dante and see why the claims of how he should go away look irrational.

And if the opponent has a thin defense and you choose to move quickly instead of waiting until 2 seconds left on the playclock to run up the middle that also helps? Yeah the Stein apologists are right, we can’t expect such exotic and advanced strategies from our OC.

Cool to say in hindsight after Hill broke off a run. Recall going into this game people were saying the mistake was that they ran to the edge too often in the first game, as they were having success between the tackles. I believe Hill had 3 carries for -3 yards in the first game, all runs to the outside.
I wasn’t one of those, I was saying don’t throw to the boundary cause that’s what their CB’s excel at covering but generally they don’t cover the deep passing game well. Plus with their 4-3 the middle of the field is generally open 15-20 yards downfield, but Stein is so scared of the middle unless it’s a run play.

I agree he has a ton of talent and there is something to work with. I do think we need an OC that can develop a QB and I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing in another QB to force Dante to work for it.

He has come a long way since UCLA. He has made strides during this year. He has lots of room to grow still. That is why wishing him away is silly.

Holy s***. I think you actually might have risen to the top as the most irrational fan on the board. Yes, losing to the team that will win the natty is going to drop them out of the top 20 next year, undoing all the rest of the work they’ve done this year, including shutting out the number 4 team ranked team in the country just last week. Their last 5 losses have come to teams that have played in the national championship that season. I’d say it takes a pretty high standard to beat the Ducks.

Take a bow for that 4th and 1 playcall Will Stein. That is the Will Stein we should remember.

On a 4th and 1, make sure to toss the ball 6 yards behind the LOS and try to get the 1st down. Just classic Oregon play calling.

About the only good thing to say about this game at this point is that Stein only has 15 more minutes as OC. Regardless, Lanning should consider having him leave the stadium without calling another play.

Hill was limping a bit. That play would’ve been better with Hill.

We’ve lost the line battle tonight. Let’s just say the OL has underperformed overall this year. I really think Terry need to be under more of a microscope.
