Pffft. Are you serious? It was Game 7, and Sheed score 30 points in that game on 13 of 26 shooting, even with all those misses he had down the stretch. How many did you want him to score? They lost that game because the refs fouled Sabonis and Pippen out, and they had Brian Grant trying to guard Shaq. The refs wanted the Lakers to win, so they did.buckmarkduck wrote:
Rasheed was arguably not even the best player on those blazer teams. Though he should have been, but he refused to be the leader. Guy was a mental midget, and if I was putting together an all time team, I wouldn’t want him on it. The blazers lost game 6 to the Lakers because he was too mentally soft to take the shots down the stretch. He had all the talent, and could have been Garnett like, but he didn’t want to be that.
Kevin Garnett called Sheed the best big man he ever had to guard, including Tim Duncan. McGrady also. For me, it's a matter of which players led their teams to victory. Sheed may have had his emotional issues, but he was an amazing team player, played hard defense, and stepped up his game in the playoffs, which Lillard never did. I don't care about stats, I care about winning.
