Oregon has the speed. I think Bama would end up winning, but Oregon would definitely be capable of winning. Right now Notre Dame is throwing the ball fairly well and a few times their RB was able to get good gains using his speed. I just don't think Bama could contain DAT whether if he's carrying the ball or going out for a pass. The question would be though is if Chip gives him enough touches or if Barner gets too many touches like he did against Stanford and KState.

Oregon would have a 0% chance against a Bama team playing like they are tonight. We may have been able to put up some points against them but Saban with 5 weeks to prepare is unbeatable. Fact.

The problem is, Notre Dame IS a joke. Texas A&M already beat them, and Oregon is a better version of that team. As stated before, thanks BCS...thanks for nothin.

Pitt, who sucked should have beat ND. Don't know how anyone here didn't see this coming from a mile away. This was expected, shows me bama is just doing what they should. Doesn't make me think they would spank UO at all. Our D is better then ND's, and our O is 100x better then ND. Teo looks like garbage.

This is true. Hey guys, I'm one of the biggest Oregon fans around. But if you put your bias's aside, Alabama is playing PERFECT football. And holy croaks....they are HUGE, STRONG and are dominating this game in the trenches. This is like Stanford x4.

I think Oregon can beat Alabama.............just not tonight.

I'm not so sure that 'Bama would be dominating us.

Our D is much, much faster than ND's defense, and our secondary is much better in coverage than ND's D. Our linebackers are big and fast, and our D-line is very deep. Alabama may put up points against us, but not 28 points in a half. This is just silly.

Our special teams play is much better than ND, too. ND's field position and miscues on punt/kick returns has been devastating. They're digging their own graves, kind of like we did against Auburn with our abysmal kick returns.

And our offense? Yeah, just slightly better than ND's. Right now, we're seeing a ND team with no real offensive firepower finding no answers against a good Alabama defense. But hell, I think Arizona or even Oregon State would have found a way to score by now. ND is making this Bama defense look much more dominant than they really are.

The one thing I will say, is this is the kind of defense that could make Chip get stubborn with his playcalling. He'd spend a better part of the first half trying to run it up the gut, and we'd probably be going in the half down by a TD. However, like he did against KSU, Chip has matured to the point that he's learned when to stop being stubborn.

I still really, really like Oregon's chances against Alabama... too bad we won't get to see that. Can't wait until we get playoffs!

Watching Holtz try to talk his way out of his single-minded Notre Dame hype will be the best part of this game.

Stanford beat Oregon. Alabama is a better version of Stanford.

Stanford got incredibly lucky, and David Shaw schemed the heck out of Chip Kelly that night. There's no doubt that Oregon is far superior to Stanford.

Think about NDs big wins, they barely beat Stanford with Nunez at QB! They beat USC without Barkley out and Wittek who was almost as bad as Nunez. Pit almost beat them! They did not have a single good win. All big names were without their major players.

Bama is not un beatable by any means. ND is just way over rated. This would be fine if they had the winners of each BCS bowl play!
