I think just from a worst case scenario, depth perspective it's good to have 4 QBs on schollie. That being said, I can't imagine a quality transfer wanting to come here without a pretty near guarantee that they'll start. There's a reason that a grad transfer is occurring, and it's not to have the opportunity to sit their last year. Nor do I think the 3 current guys available would be too thrilled if their time finally came to have a shot at the starting gig and a transfer was brought in and jumped them on the charts. That would likely lead to at least 1 transfer, and put them in even worse shape from a depth perspective going forward. If they have the room, I'd prefer it go to an incoming freshman. If not Hornsby or Stroud, take a flyer on a guy like they did with Herbert. Sometimes it's just good to have guys for depth. Not every guy will end up being a starter.

WR Johnny Wilson to decommit?

Not looking great for Oregon right now, ASU is making a strong push for him. That'd be a bummer!

Oregon may have its center next year with JC transfer TJ Bass.

Still listed as a hard commit. I agree though not particularly solid if person is visiting another school this late in the process. Not a fan of kids doing that. Either you are committed or not. Should not tell one school are a hard commit or solid commit if not.

ASU has got themselves a new recruiting rainmaker at WR coach.

Rumors about it on TOS for sure.

I'm on record when he committed that multiple SoCal coaches have said the kid is "soft" and he'll have to shake that label no matter where he goes to school.

Hope he stays because his size/speed are incredible.

As far as I know Bass has never played center.

On a more exciting note, I'm hearing that the Ducks feel pretty confident that both Ringo and Manning will commit soon. There is also chatter than there is another high 4/5* player who is taking a last minute look at the Ducks but I don't know who it is.

Not a bad “back up” option. This isnt the old days where we sign players that are 2* and wont see the field

Hahaha— i think the Devon commit ended that... next year’s WR are ridiculous. Worried about TE, but other than that... ducks are stacked. (Obviously new OL and QB) but skill players weirdly good

I’m hoping he sticks but at least we got Devon Williams coming in.

I think the main thing is that if Oregon loses Wilson, they find a suitable replacement. There is never a shortage of quality WRs on the west coast, you just have to find them.

If they don't sign Figgins, they really need to find a TE in this class.
