Somewhat Ethical Conference had a good day and almost a great day yesterday, with Florida and Alabama punching tickets to the Elite 8 but Arkansas giving up a 16 point lead to lose in OT to Texas Tech. Vegas has them getting 5 teams in the last 8, with Auburn favored over Michigan, Kentucky playing Tennessee, and Michigan State favored over Ole Miss. I mentioned on another thread a moment ago, but holy-transfer-era, Auburn's team has an average age of 23 among their starters. Unless you're getting Cooper Flagg, it seems like a far superior strategy to pick off small school players after they've developed, which is what the start players for Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Texas Tech etc. have all done.

Fascinating that one of Michigan's star's in the NCAA's this year, Tre Donalson, transferred to Michigan from Auburn. Even though, Barkley says he's his favorite player.

B1G over the SEC, Michigan State 73 Ole Miss 70. State was behind for most of the game, but took over at the end. They definitely had a long 5 seconds to get an inbound pass in, but win and advance now.

It's sort of been a boring Tournament as there's been few upsets and buzzer beaters. The lowest remaining Elite 8 team is a 3 seed. Almost feels like the unlimited transfer portal and NIL are making the Tournament top heavy and almost too predictable.

5 y'all teams, 2 Big 12, 1 Big Ten team left. No mid majors. Boo.

Here's the debate. I think it's played out just right. Last night, No.5 B1G Michigan was right there, until Auburn showed why it was a No.1 No.3 Texas Tech battled back and took out No.10 Arkansas. No.2 Michigan State vs No.6 Ole Miss was a great game
, No.2 won. No.4 Purdue took No.1 Houston to the end.
Predictable? I guess, but I like the best teams advancing. Yeah, I don't mind seeing an upset in the first round. But I don't want a 12 winning the whole thing. The higher seeds have advanced, the games should be great the rest of the way.

No.3 Red Raiders had it going, but No.1 Florida ends on a 18-4 run, wins 84-79

Literally what Red Raiders did against Arkansas, Florida did to to the Red Raiders. Crazy comebacks in both games.

Florida's 3-point shooting at the end of that game was unbelievable - like they made a deal with the devil or something. They erased a 9-point deficit in about 90 seconds. Texas Tech has to be wondering how they ended up losing that game; it seemed like they had it sewn up with about 3 minutes to go. I wish a team I rooted for would shoot like that some time.

All #1 seeds, one of the most boring tourneys ever. NIL is ruining college sports.

I think it'd be cool to see Houston/Kelvin Sampson win it all of the teams playing.
I wonder how much it would take in NIL to get Cooper Flagg to return for another year at Duke? At least 15M since last years #1 is making 12.6M on his rookie deal I'd imagine.

Hopefully Flagg enters the draft. I don't want to read Blazer fans demanding that everyone lose all the games on purpose for yet another year.

Cronin will trade this years 1st+Grant or Simons for their "difference maker" or else this years 1st will go to Chicago and he'll trade future picks + Gr/Ant.
I'm more curious about what it would take for a high lotto pick to decide that another year in college with a lighter schedule for the same pay might be viewed as the better option.

Wow, Florida and Duke win. The chalkiest chalk that ever chalked.
