Seems pretty simple. If BB and his parents take this late trip to UT, then if I were a Vol I would be extremely confident in my chances. He just was there on an official a few wks ago. Taking his folks on a 2nd, not really necessary trip right before announcing, seems to spell out that he wants his folks to see it for themselves and possibly give it their blessing.

Just be glad when this is over. Hopefully on Monday.

This trip to UT is highly doubtful in my mind, especially with Brown fasting. Who in their right mind would trip from the midwest to Knoxville only drinking juice? It just doesn't add up to me. He'll be at home drinking juice in front of his TV while playing his NCAA '09 and picking the Ducks. That latter is my imagination but the former is my educated guess.

That's what has me just cracking up about this latest news. Is there any proof? Any quotes from him? Any quotes from his family or Butler? Nope, just some dude on a messege board.

BB has stated COUNTLESS times how much he loves our offense & Chip Kelly, how Oregon is the best school & how the Ducks are his LEADER. Until HE says something else why should we assume something else.

I feel he's coming here. Why? Because of what has been consistently coming from his mouth not random message boarders who "have good info" or some dudes "gut feeling".

We can jaw about this all day long, but until BB signs, it's all moot... It's still funny to look at the UT board (Volnation.com) and see a 370+ page thread on the recruitment of Brown.

Now that's internet stalking!!

For amusement, someone who has an account on that Volunteer board should post some "information" from a Knoxville real estate agent that the Brown family is looking at area homes.

Personally, I think Brown goes to Tennessee because of his parents.

I'm glad you used the word "amusement", because that's exactly what this is. At the same time, I'm starting to get the feeling that distance and parents hurt Oregon again. I really hope I'm wrong. The madness ends soon.

I'd like to see Brown go to Oregon. But, I can't discount the news that he is visiting UT again. The Vol who delivered the news just went into too elaborate of information and back and forth about it. It would have to be such a complicated lie for someone who is verifiably a radio host to make. Unless maybe he misunderstood something Brown told him?

So, yeah, looks pretty good for the Vols at the moment.

It just seems like someone like Brown would be wary of a guy like Kiffin, given all that has gone on with recruiting. It could end up being a disaster for Browns career if the story of UT turns into "the Kiffin debacle" with potential coaching changes and who knows what that dude is going to bring.

I hate beating a dead horse, and I am not sure why it seems to bother me so much. How is UT (if that is even where he heads) his "parents" choice?

Was wondering if Butler was fasting with the Brown family??? He could stand to fast a little bit!

So let me get this straight.... the Browns are going to travel 928.25 miles, which is 14 hours and 27 minutes driving non-stop, to visit UT? The distance from UT to Arthur Brown is nearly the same distance. How in the world does that make any sense? If this rumon is true, then Bryce's parents are 100% in control of his school choice and we had no chance anyway.

Apparently, Bryce's dad told Jeremy Crabtree that they are not going to UT this weekend because Bryce is fasting. But, the guy who said they were visiting still insists that it's true and that he heard directly from Brown.

So, now, I don't know what to believe. One of them is lying, I guess?

I can say this. At this point, if Brown chooses Oregon, the Volunteers are going to have an all out conniption. :D

That would be worth his recruitment in and of itself.

Here's my semi-educated opinion: If the Brown's visit UT, then he will sign with UT. If they don't, he will sign with us.

Or.... his parents are pushing him to sign there and he wants to show them how psycho Kiffin really is so they'll change their minds and let him go to Oregon.

It really sounds like they are indeed going to visit. The implication made in the quote below is that Brown's dad and Butler need to be convinced by the UT staff. But, that could be the Brown camp playing good cop/bad cop in the sense that Brown didn't want to tell this "source" that he wasn't sure himself.

Judging the circumstances and most credible info I could find (which isn't 100% credible but seems plausible), I think this is a possibility. Probably remote. But, there is some plausibility to the notion that Brown would feel bad telling some UT homer reporter that he was the one with doubts about the program.

This is what was written today, along with some other points here and there from the "UT Insider." He confirmed that the two men going to UT with Brown to check out the program would be Butler and his dad. Apparently, they are going to be there "Tomorrow night, hopefully in time to witness some of the practice."
