Why is it when SC would get upset it was an upset, but UO it's UO sucks? If we played furd the next week we score 35 of them. Play them 10 times we win 8.
Also, Alabama is not an invincible monster. This is a team that got beat this year by a first-year member of the almighty SEC (which runs a spread offense).
It just so happens that Notre Dame (as it usually is when in a big bowl game) is horribly overrated this season.
And HA! The announcer just said, "Sorry, Oregon can't get here by the start of the second half, neither can Stanford, we'll just have to see what Notre Dame can do in the second half."

Ok, a motivated Bama team playing with a point to prove/something to play for. Since that game, which was Saban's first season I believe, they have won their last 4 bowl games in dominating fashion.
In regards to us comparing to Texas A&M, they have a Heisman QB with two first round offensive tackles tackles, immensely better receivers and won on a goal line stand and a offside penalty on a punt. The way A&M was playing, I think they'd beat us as well.

Who said that? Also, what's your obsession with USC? A&M beat Bama at home, just like Stanford beat Oregon at home. There was no extra dialogue or spin to what i said.

Update: Brian Kelly has now left the stadium. He said something about "needing a stiff drink". Promised he'd be back by spring. Evidently, he couldn't handle the embarrassment anymore.
I'm not trying to take anything away from Alabama, by the way. Obviously, 'Bama is a very good team!
That said, the simple truth is that Notre Dame is doing its part to make 'Bama look unstoppable. Our D would definitely not have allowed 28 (or 21) points in the first half, and our offense would be far from scoreless by this point in the game. The flow of the entire game would be different if it were Oregon vs. Bama.
Honestly, though, Alabama is showing that it deserves to be here, and it's showing that it's a better team than its opponent, which happens to be Notre Dame. At the end of the day, that's really all that matters.

I agree that Nick is tough to beat with 5 weeks to prepare, but I also have to point out that preparing for Notre Dame is a LOT different than preparing for Oregon would be.
