Re: Mariners
Felix is a STUD AGAIN with his fourth 1-0 cg win and fifth shutout of this season, he's the first in mariner in team history to throw five shutouts in a season. 17 innings vs twins this season 6 hits 0 runs, leads the league in e.r.a. and innings and third in strikeouts in his attempt to win another cy young. Mariners are 17-1 vs teams with a losing record since the all star break with three more vs the twins coming up.

It's worth saying again, Felix is a witch.

Re: Mariners
I also heard he has a 1.06 e.r.a. in five starts this month and 1.25 in his last ten starts. He's 9-0 in his last 14 starts

Re: Mariners
unfortunate that the baseball gods did not look kindly upon us in chicago. all three of those losses were heartbreaking.
cy young is really down to felix and verlander, imo. price has nice traditional numbers, but trails in a lot of categories voters now look for. felix leads the AL in era, verlander leads in some other important categories. should be a fun final 5 weeks to the season.

Really sucks we couldn't even win one. Oh well, still a great run so far.oregontrack wrote:unfortunate that the baseball gods did not look kindly upon us in chicago. all three of those losses were heartbreaking.

Re: Mariners
Mariners win 5-1, Iwakuma gives up 1 hit over 6 innings. On a side note Suzuki hitting .322 since the trade to NY.

No name prospects. Really, we just got salary relief, but the team has played better without him and he's played better in NY.

Re: Mariners
Verlander gives up 8 runs last night and Weaver 4 helping Felix cy young chances with their e.r.a. going up. David Price gave up 5 I think Monday while Felix threw his shutout, Felix chances are going up the last couple weeks.

Re: Mariners
I don't think Ichiro is hitting 322 since the trade, his average for the season is at 267 and that's about what it was when the mariners traded him. Almost every game he's going either 1-3 or 1-4, his on base percentage this month is 322.
