Not too surprised. The color of his tie was close to UW's colors and the oregon hat on the table was all white, no school colors. If he was going to commit to us, you'd have thought he would have told them to provide a better school hat.
Seems like a good kid. Can't blame him for not picking a school that hasn't even announced his position coach yet.

His high school, Orem, has a very similar logo to Oregon, or some I’m told by twitter.
Anyways, best of luck to the kid except for when he plays Oregon or in any game that would help the bitches become relevant. This is by no means a “we didn’t want him anyways” because he would have been icing on the cake to this class but this only stings bc he went to that shithole up north.

Orem high school has permission to use the O logo, as high schools who used it without permission had to change it. There was one in Iowa that got sued. Orem also uses the old number font we discontinued after 2016. They also use the Richardson brand font that is used for Oregon a lot and in our endzone.
Not getting Puka isn't ideal, but our four WRs and Juwan Johnson would be more than enough of a haul.
Hopefully we get Noah Sewell from Orem. He just won LB MVP at LA's The Opening regionals, and he's a monster. Beat out 5-star Justin Flowe. He's put on about 60 pounds in a year and a half, and is about 270 now. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up a DE.

Oh well. If Oregon was in desperate need of WRs and Nacua was their only option left, it might have stung a bit more. Just hope Oregon gets their WR coach in place soon and we find out about Juwan Johnson.

Silver lining: It seems like Mario didn't let the timetable of a potential recruit affect his hiring decision. That may say something about his resolve in coaching direction and maybe also his integrity. For me, the jury is still out on his coaching ability, but this might be taken as a good sign that it isn't all about recruiting.
