Altman is recruiting in Vegas,
According to Matt at 247... Gee, I wonder who he is talking to?
Findlay Prep and the Drew Gooden Soldiers would seem to be great places for Oregon to establish recruiting pipelines..

Re: Altman is recruiting in Vegas,
Probably Rosco Allen and a couple others. It would be great if Oregon could start pipelines down to the Bay Area and Las Vegas.

Re: Altman is recruiting in Vegas,
Per 247, "Oregon head coach Dana Altman has flown to Las Vegas, NV Thursday to check out the Findlay Prep basketball team as they took part in three-on-three workouts for college coaches."
Lucas was reported to be in Portland, right now, so Altman was viewing other Findlay Prep players, such as Point Guard Nigel William-Goss (2013) and forwards Anthony Bennett (ESPN scout grade 92) and Winston Shepard (ESPN scout grade 95). Both Bennett and Shepard are 4* 6'8"/ 2012 prospects. Bennett weghs 230, while Shepard is around 205.
ESPN 4* William-Goss (93 grade) was originally from Portland, but transferred to Findlay before starting HS.

Williams-Goss has great size and skill for the point guard position. He has a high basketball IQ and his decision making is pretty solid. He always has his head up while in transition and his passing is quite good. In terms of scoring he has a nice runner in the lane. Defensively, he slides his feet fairly well and he has quick hands. In addition, he appears to have natural leadership skills as he is quite vocal on the court.
Williams-Goss has nice size and a good amount of skill for the 1 at the next level. He'll need to get stronger and faster to handle other point guards at the next level-thus it will be interesting to see how his body develops in the coming seasons. In addition, his pull-up game and range on his jump shot needs to get much more consistent as well.

Bennett has a chiseled physique and has a great combination of power and finesse. He can step out and nail the 3-point shot or go inside and impose his will. He's explosive around the rim and uses his thick frame and impressive lift to convert in traffic. He is a terrific rebounder in traffic due to his instincts and power.
Bennett is a definite high-major 4-man who will make an immediate impact at the next level. He is a high-level rebounder that has great hands and instincts in the paint area. He can be a match up problem as well because of his soft shooting stroke beyond the arc. With continued development Bennett could be considered one of the top 25 prospects in the country
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketb ... on-shepard
Shepard is an athletic live body forward that is aggressive especially on the break where he sprints the floor and can get to the rim on a regular basis. In the half court he makes open mid range shots over smaller defenders with ease. Shepard is also a good rebounder on both ends especially on the offense glass where he is a threat for a timely tip in basket at all times. He can also face and straight line drive by less mobile forwards. His energy and constant activity allow him to be productive.
Athletic forward that can make plays on the break and inside the arc in the half court. Shepard does a good job on the glass as well. As his shooting and ball handling improve so will his ability to play some small forward but he is more of a power forward now that plays with great energy most of the time.

Re: Altman is recruiting in Vegas,
I read some article on WeAreSc(go there for comedy) about Findlay Prep, and it sounds like Texas locks down that school in rather shady ways. Hopefully the article is bs so we get a shot at them.

Going to miss the Maehl Man

Re: Altman is recruiting in Vegas,
Nigel likes oregon and has been a fan since he was little. He played on my good friends AAU team before he went to NV. But he isnt a lock at all like I feel Lucas is. Just my 2 cents.
