He's kind of small, but I wonder if Oregon's going to give North Eugene's Andrew Moore a look. He's a junior pitcher who has three no-hitters so far this year, two in the ultra-competitive MWL and another against the #2 team in the state. He pitched North to the 5A state title last year, throwing a 2-hit shutout in the title game.

Oh, as for this series. We could sweep or get swept. This team has no rhyme or reason to it.

It sounds like he's getting a look but he'll probably either go the JC route or a smaller school, possibly like a Portland or WCC school.

Ah, that's too bad. Thought he might have the stuff to become a high-major prospect.

Do I think Oregon is going to the postseason this year? No.

Is Oregon out of the running? Not yet, but they'll be all but dead if they don't win this series.

Nice win. If Oregon sweeps this series, they will be right back in the thick of things.

That was a sweet 1-pitch save for Moen, and shows just has crazy the game of baseball is. If Petersen is playing just a foot and a half closer to second base, USC has the tying run on second or third with one out. Instead, Petersen is able to double them up and win the game.

Awesome HR by Sabol. Kudos to Anderson, who was excellent as usual.

Does anyone have a list of AM stations that carry Duck baseball?

I ask because my son, who is blind, is an avid Duck fan and can't seem to pick up anything in the Albany area.

I don't, sorry. I live in the Eugene/Springfield area so it's 95.3 for me, though I'm listening on O-Zone right now.

This series has been tough to follow on the radio. There's either a bunch of a Duck fans at the stadium, or our radio broadcast has set up shop the last two days right behind a dozen very loud Ducks. There are cheers equally loud for everything that happens. A Duck single gets just as rowdy as a Duck out.

If we're going to live and die by Hortonball, we need to execute the bunt better. No outs/runners at 1st and 2nd, Petersen puts down a horrible bunt that the catcher picks up and nails the runner trying to get to third. Blah.

You'd think a game as slow as baseball would suit Jerry better, but alas.

"Marder takes off from first... HE'S SAFE, HE SLIDES UNDERNEATH THE TAG! Wait, no. He's out. They call him out."

"THAT BALL IS BELTED OFF THE BAT! IT'S HIGH, IT'S DEEP, MY OH MY... and it falls into a Trojan glove ten feet before the warning track."

Anderson is the best. Oh and btw, how nice is it to finally have a solid closer? Moen doing good.
