Player turnover isn't unique Oregon and/or Altman

Post by woundedknees »

I don't believe for a second that things would have been all hunky dory without the hiring of Altman... Looking at some of the other coaches apparently pursued by the Ducks, it is easy to find turmoil. One need look no further than Minnesota, and Tubby Smith's program.

With the departure of Devoe Joseph, and PG Colton Iverson, the number of players who have departed early in the last 2 seasons is at least 5.

PG Justin Cobbs transferred to Cal, and F Paul Carter went to University of Illinois-Chicago (To be closer to his sister and family). Former 5 star F Royce White left in turmoil (After legal issues... Another alleged laptop theft.), without getting off the bench his freshman season, and eventually landed at Iowa State.
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

With the limited number of players on a BB team, multiple transfers just stands out more when compared to having multiple FB players transfer. I think the program is headed in the right direction, even with all the defections as of late.
