first time i've ever seen northwest weather as a positive trait

that would be awesome if we could snag him though. at this point we need as many RBs as we can get for this class.

I really like the size of Bauman... You don't see that many HS RBs in the 205 lb range at 5'10-5'11, with a 4.55/40, and a 270 lb Bench Press. 11 carries, for 930 yards, plus 25 receptions for 337 yards? That's 8.3+ yards per carry, and 13.48 yards per reception, folks!

And he did it while maintaining a 3.6 GPA...

Looking at him in this video footage, he may be the 'Thunder Back' Oregon fans dream of (Although it's sort of like watching a Masoli clone at RB...)!

It can't hurt that he comes from Chandler, Az., same as Dion Jordan, either.

As a freshman in 2007, Bauman competed in track, posting times of 12.25 in the 100, 24.75 in the 200, and leaping 19' 4" in the long jump... Not great marks, but not bad at all for a 14 year old!

Hamilton HS opened the season at Miami, Florida's perennial powerhouse, Booker T. Washington HS. Bauman had 103 yards and 4 TDS on 20 carries. His team put up 422 yards of offense, with only 3 penalties, and no turnovers, in a game they won 37-19 (Bauman scored 28 of those points.).

Somebody needs to take this kid seriously!

He may not have a true 4.55, but judicious use of the 'Stiff Arm" and the ability to run over/drag several defenders with him seems to be a requirement for at least 1 Duck RB at all times.

Isn't this a required course of study for incoming Running Backs, yet?
