6'5" 290 is pretty big for a HS kid. I wonder if they want him for OL of DL...

Re: Micah Hatchie claims an offer
he is a big boy. The thing to tell here is how does he carry his weight? Does he look chubby all around or does he look to spread out the weight and still be close to 300? IF its the second one he can certainly get bigger.

These combin numbers are from last summer. At that time, Hatchie was measured at 6'4.5/260. (IMO, if he is 290 now, that's a lot of weight for a HS kid to put on in a couple months...) He was timed at 20 yards (2.8), as well as 40 (5.44). Hatchie's vertical was 28", and his standing long jump was 7'8". He completed 14 reps on the 225 lb Bench Press, and has an 8' reach.

At least two incoming juniors stood out. Jiniki Timoteo of Leilehua and Micah Hatchie of Waialua made the most of their first day, and McMackin talked to each on the side.
"Yeah (the coaches expressed interest)," said Hatchie, who plays both ways for the Bulldogs. "(Coach Mack said) 'real good job, and keep up the good work.' "
He was most concerned with improving his agility.
"Vili Fehoko (Father of VJ Fehoku) instructed the big men in some basics and background of the haka at the end of the day. After a withering glare from The Warrior at the campers' lackluster first repetitions of the Maori chant, their volume and enthusiasm intensified greatly."

Looks like a developement project for Coach Radcliffe... He appears to have the frame to benefit from a good nutritionist and some quality time in the training room.

Bring on the Poly kids, they always have great frames to add weight (and a lot of it) quite easily. We have had less the last few years than ever before, hope we get back to recruiting more of them.
