I hope it is. Just from the limited play I've seen, MM's speed and poise really stood out. Imagine the speed of Dixon with the poise of DT? WOW, could be the best quarterback to ever play for Oregon.

Oregonlive hasn't had a good track record with "team sources" specially Canzano, but if it is Marcus ... Congrats to him.

Well, I think this speaks volumes about the skill and upside of Mariota. To beat out a guy who I think performed impressively in his opportunities last year, is very impressive. Now I'm even more excited to see the dude in a real game. I have pretty high expectations.

Now the Brian Bennett transfer talk can commence. I, for one, hope he stays since I don't remember the last time we went a full season without a QB getting hurt.

I'm conflicted, I really wanted to see more of Brian but am extremely excited to see Marcus.

That's sort of why I wanted Bennett to be starting but if you want to transfer after not getting the starting job, then maybe he's not that great of a fit up here. Sure hope he keeps working hard and he ends up playing quite a bit.

Bryan isn't leaving. Only young duck fans think he's gone, coaches think he stays. We've had better backups who never thought about leaving. Guys that have left never amounted to anything at their new schools, and here he will still get a ton of snaps and who knows if MM can stay healthy all year.

I hope Bennett stays. I would understand if he doesn't.
Now MM has the reigns i am excited to see his talent run this
offense. Good luck to the defenses out there. This kid has all
the throws and has moxie back there. Love his attitude and i
think that had to play some in the decision. He seems to be real
cool out there. Bennett a bit to tight maybe. If he can throw the
ball well there will be no stopping our offense. With the speed of
this offense and MM running ability i just cant wait to see this
next Saturday night. First game i will have seen in 3 years in person.
