WSU @ Auburn (4 p.m. Sat. -- ESPNU)

Post by Greenblood »

This one is intriguing to me, as I'm thinking that the Cougs take some strides this year under Leach (though I can't say I'm a fan of Leach). If Auburn didn't have the new coach Gus Malzahn this year, I might even think that the Cougs have a decent shot here at an upset. But though I think they'll give Auburn a better-than-expected game, I think the Tigers win in the end.

Among anyone else's, would like to see Bud's take on Auburn this year.

Personally I think AU will vastly improve from last year and we will see that in their play immediately. What we saw last year was a team that COMPLETELY fell apart because of coaching. That staff lost complete control and those kids gave completely up. Do I think they have a shot to win the SEC West, not at all, but I think they will be competitive and could win 4 conference games this year which is 4 more than last year.

In regards to the game, no way WSU scores more than 30. My guess, AU wins 35 -10.

Maybe we will see the bottom half of the SEC beating the top half, a bit more often this year.

I expect that WSU will be within two TDs, and will be surprised if they lose by more than 20.

Maybe, its been so top heavy with the wins lately, it seems that we have our top 6 fighting out for the championship and then the others are just there for the hell of it.

Don't see how WSU can win any games without a good runner or an offensive line. Their quarterback is going to be running all over the place trying to prevent a sack.

Auburn 24-13. I'll give WSU the benefit of the doubt.

One thing -- for the Cougs' sake -- for sure, in my mind, is that WSU will need to get off to a decent start and not make a bunch of mistakes that essentially takes them out of the game early.

Let's hope my upset pick here makes up for the Beavees getting ready to blow it. Go Cougs! (wow, that feels weird)

Wazzu is battling! Down 28-21, driving in Auburn territory in the 3rd quarter.

To be improved they need a decent running game and fewer turnovers. Maybe they are better. We'll see down the road.
