“Oregon is on top right now. They are my favorite school and sit a top my board at the number 1 spot,” says Legaux.
“I’ve looked more into the Oregon program on the internet and looking at the stuff they send me and speaking with the coaching staff has made me realize they are my top school. I really like the coaches they have at Oregon. I speak mostly with Coach Kelly and the new QB coach, Mark Helfrich, the most,” says Legaux.
While Legaux doesn’t have a time table of when he’d like to decide yet he did share his top 3 schools.
“Right now I am looking at Oregon, Michigan, and Ole Miss. Each school says I could come in and play early and that is important to me. I also like the fact that each school runs a spread. Oregon’s spread offense is crazy and that fits my style. I am looking for an offense that fits my style of play,” explained Legaux.
The Helfrich hire won't look so bad if the Ducks land Munchie!

If that happened, it would make Helfrich's first 2 recruits reasonable quality Quarterbacks... Not a bad beginning, IMO.

If we could get Munchie and "Big Tex" I will be having dreams of some wild formations with combinations of Munchie, "Big Tex", and Hawkins. Too bad Harper is still isn't here.

In the long run, I really doubt Harper will be severely missed, especially if this recruiting class continues to develop the way it seems to be.

Oregongridiron.com? Some of the vids on that site would make me want to be a Duck. Great way to give the parents a glimpse of things too.gofightingducks wrote:

I suspect we'll never know just what really influences recruits, any of them, but I've been wondering if that site would have any sway. Hope so.

I have a good feeling about this one. Those sound like very unguarded comments.
Plus, looking at this highlight video, it looks like the offense he ran in HS was very, very similar to the Oregon version of the spread. I thought it looked unusually sophisticated for high-school level.

Dude recruited a top 15 ranked class to Colorado. What do you think he is going to do with our facilities?? He was the perfect hire. Chip can still control the offense and brought in a stud recruiter at the same time. Perfect match. I am expecting some big recruits in the next two years.

I am not, I actually like the hire, I said that because there was a lot of negativity from other people that he was a bad choice.

Of the three hires, I think the most questionable would have to be Frost. I like Azz's experience and Helfrich has developed some quality quarterbacks at Arizona State. Frost has the least experience of the 3. Of course, I am also one of those people who looks at it with a 'wait and see' approach so all we really can do to determine if they are questionable or not is to, well, wait and see. I personally like the Helfrich hire because I think it will help us transition to a pro-style spread in a few years or so (with the wrinkles added by Kelly that everyone loves so much), but of course the only way to know if that'll happen is by seeing what happens the next few years. We're really close to doing something special here in my opinion and from the looks of what other Duck fans are saying, it doesn't sound like I'm alone. Having said that I really hope we get rid of Aliotti soon. We can't have our offense be new age and our defense be stuck in the stone age if we want to have an elite program in the future.

Cool...Sorry, but the negativity IS getting real old.....I too am a firm believer in giving the new faces a chance to prove/disprove themselves....I guess I am guilty of jumping to conclusions...
I just need some football and need it soon....
