Tee Martin?

Post by gregspechtismyhero »

I heard from a pretty reliable source the Martin has come out and said that the rumors saying he took the UNM job are not true. He doesn't know how those rumors started, but he is still looking at coming to Oregon. I don't have a link or anything, but could anyone look into this? Because that would be huge. I don't know, maybe this is old news, but I didn't see anything posted and I thought that maybe someone could confirm it.

Rob has said he's talked to him several times and is pretty adamant in pointing out he is not slated anywhere. Wouldn't be surprised if he's considering the UNM job in order to try to get more monies out of a contract with the ducks.

If he came here as a QB coach that would be good. He would be a good coach and recruiter I think. If he didn't come here it wouldn't be a big lose. I don't know about him being a WR's coach. The last I heard before the rumor of him being accepted as the UM coach, he was being considered as the QB coach for Oregon (currently Chip Kelly is the QB's coach) and Day was being considered for the WR's coach.

Whether Tee Martin ends up at Oregon or not, the bottom line is many have said that coachces were all over CK when he was at the recent convention. I think we can have confidence that Chip will get exactly who he wants.

Good to hear. It was really confusing that he'd take a positions coach job at New Mexico over Oregon...
