Recruiting
I seriously wonder if this is going too hurt recruiting after parents of players see actions from Blount after tonites game. Hopefully they will see this as an isolated incident and that Chip Kelly makes a statement by suspending BLOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Recruiting
I guarantee it hurts us badly Blount needs to be kicked off. Hopefully J-Hop, Mops, or Tony could enlighten us with their knowledge about how bad this hurts!!! I mean do we still land Mccain and everyone else committed I personally don't think so!

Re: Recruiting
All I can add is that is "capped" a truly awful performance perfectly! What the hell is with our team? That was painful, it was UCLA game (post DD) all over again.
And ya it was an absolute collapse by Blounts decision making!

Re: Recruiting
What happened tonight could very easily become the kiss of death on high level recruits that were considering Oregon...That is why it is paramount that CK take care of matters and permanently separate LB from the team and apologize to the football world in general for the melt down that we had to experience tonight....Unbelievable...Thanks LB, you have singlehandedly embarrassed not only yourself and your family, but also your team mates, the coaches, the U of O, and for that matter the State of Oregon...Go back to where you came from....We dont need nor want the tude and behavior that you exhibited tonight....

Re: Recruiting
The actual play of the team will hurt us more. Blount made a fool of himself but if he's off the team within the next few weeks it won't affect us that much. Did Miami's brawl affect their recruiting that much? I just think the way our Offense came out & pissed their pants is gonna do more damage. We'll see.

Re: Recruiting
It is unfortunate to see what happened at the end of the game. I am very confident
that coach Kelly and his staff will handle this situation properly. I don't think this
should have any influence on recruiting. As the father of an Oregon commit, this
situation is not going to influence us in any way. Go Ducks!

But it did make the job of firing Larry Coker that much easier since it could be said he lost control of his team and program.dthomas=ddixon wrote:The actual play of the team will hurt us more. Re: Recruiting
Glad to hear that we have at least one still on the band wagon. And, I also think that this is a sensible reaction since it was Blount who went off, not the entire team. Should be an interesting story over the next few days...newduckfan wrote:It is unfortunate to see what happened at the end of the game. I am very confident

That is great news that you guys see that Blount reacted as an individual and not the team! I wish I knew what commit haha. Welcome to the family I'm very excited about the kids we have committed already everyone seems to have a great attitude and work ethic! Can't wait to see them at Autzen.

Welcome to the Duck Family....We all surely hope that this unfortunate incident DOES NOT reoccur.....And that the Duck program rapidly gets back on track after an embarrassing loss at BSU.....newduckfan wrote:It is unfortunate to see what happened at the end of the game. I am very confident

Re: Recruiting
I think the only course of action the ducks have in regards to recruiting is to kick Blount off the team and call each recruit and tell them been kicked off the team and do everything possibly can to distance the university from Blount. If the University are in constant contact with all the recruits and show beyond any doub this was not only an isolated incident but person been kicked off the team permanently then maybe.. just maybe the parents will see that too.

Suspension for the season but honoring the schollie, good move in that the school has recognized the need to give support to this kid whose dream which went up in smoke last night in a moment of bad judgment. Hope he can straighten his head with some counseling and focus on school to complete his degree.

Re: Recruiting
Academics were never a priority for this guy, hopefully now he'll realize that it should be if he wants to finish his college career with any hope of getting a job.Greydrake wrote:Suspension for the season but honoring the schollie, good move in that the school has recognized the need to give support to this kid whose dream which went up in smoke last night in a moment of bad judgment.
