Myles Wade to TTECH??

that is what is being reported on both other recruiting websites. I guess there was 2 quarters worth of credits that wouldn't transfer to Oregon. He qualified by the NCAA. So TTEch and USC and others were knocking on his door. This is a major oversight by Oregon not to be paying attention to his work load.
On a side note I guess his mother just passed away, and even though he can't be a duck(not his fault) he gets a chance at a college education. Good luck to him.

Yeah..Good luck to Myles....But, he is gonna need all of that...The kid either didnt have the internal fortitude to get decent grades in High School and/or has some form of learning disability.....And unfortunately, that will probably carry over into college....
No doubt he is a good kid and he has the tools to be a gr8 fb player...Just needs to get his act together.....Hopefully he can do just that....

This is not that uncommon...

JC/CC advisers have very specific lists at their disposal which contain information from various colleges about which classes/credits will transfer to a University, such as Oregon. It is their responsibility to "guide" the student on an academic path to acheive thos guidelines.

For example, my daughter attended LCC, with the intention of receiving an "Associate Transfer Degree", to be used to attend an in-state university. She was told by her adviser (And had obtained similar info from the uniiverstiy of her choice) that she needed to avoid certain classes because theywere not accredited to transfer to a school like Oregon, even though they would help ease the acheivement of the degree.

Basically, this meant either taking additional classes to pad the credits with the correct level of difficulty, or have the transfer degree rejected as unacceptable to the university, and thus, "failing to qualify".

It is definitely a significant screw-up, but not necessarily just on the part of the U of O... What a waste of effort.

Like the old man said... Make sure you read and understand the 'fine print'!

Obviously there is a lot more to this story when the Beavs said no to him?? The guy is big and talented there is no way both our schools would pass on him with out something amiss!

First and formost I am glad Myles will get a chance to play college ball. More importantly I am sad he wont live his dream and his mom being there for it.

That said, the writer of this article also wrote about Charles Siddoway I believe and Oregon "dissapearing" on him as well. Guys is very slanted.

That being said, nobody should be thinking we dropped the ball here. For whatever reason he is not a Duck and I don't think we know even half the story. Have faith in the coaches, they kind of know what they are doing.

Oregon had provided an academic adviser while he was in Community College, yet he still failed to qualify. It was obvious he would fail to qualify at OS as well. He may be qualified to go to TT but if history is a guide he will be there for one term until he flunks out. Which is more than enough for many schools. At least he gets to play a little. I'm glad UO didn't cave to a kid that seems bound to fail.

I find it ironic that USC was still after him when they constantly tout their "tough private school admission standards". Like all football factories there are ALWAYS exceptions.

Sad story. Regardless of where he plays (even SC). I really hope this kid makes it, god knows he has enough set backs. This is the downside of recruiting. Good luck MW.

Oregon and OSU's transfer requirements are essentially the same. All the Oregon schools are pretty standardized. If he ended up with classes at JUCO that wouldn't transfer to Oregon he would, by default, basically be excluded from OSU also.

I would assume that's why they showed zero interest as well.
