Oregon offers 4* 2017 WR Jeff Thomas
Taggart and Co. continue putting out offers by handing one out to 4* 2017 WR Jeff Thomas from East St. Louis, IL. He's another smaller WR but clocked one of the fastest 40 times at The Opening last summer. Oregon appears to be a longshot since he has the local schools of Illinois and Mizzou as his top 2.

Can you believe how well this guy played in the U/A all-star game on Saturday?!! Two separate pass plays left db's with broken ankles. Don't recall if he had 200 pass receiving yards or not, but he scored at least two hi-lite reel touchdowns. He doesn't quite have DATs top end speed, but absolutely has his cutting ability, and would be a dangerous weapon in the slot.
With Tristen W, Devon A and Dwaine S out next year, coupled with Carrington's uncertainty, Willie and Co. should pull out all the stops to get him to visit Eugene. After his Saturday performance you can bet all the football powers will be all over this young man.

People aren't sure yet but it looks like he'll only get in by the skin of his teeth should he actually qualify.Duck24 wrote:I thought it was all but certain he won't qualify?

For those that did not watch the U/A all-star game this past Saturday. Luginbill of ESPN mentioned during the game that Jeff Thomas fell off the tracks & lost his way academically this past Fall, as a result they pulled his invitation to the U/A all-star. At that point I guess J. Thomas wised up & hit the books, otherwise they wouldn't have re-issued him his invitation to play.
I agree w/ the sentiments of laxattack22, he would be a dangerous weapon in the Slot WR position. Hoping he can qualify.

He had a kid I heard (not 100% confirmed). It will be a tough pull because of his child. (also very likely why his grades fell)
