Oregon offfers 5* 2018 LB Palaie Gaoteote

Post by greenyellow »

Even as they continue putting together the 2017 class, Oregon is making a strong push towards the 2018 class by offering 5* LB Palaie Gaoteote out of Bishop Gorman HS via Hawaii.

One thing that's clear to me is this coaching staff will be far more aggressive and open than anything we have ever seen when it comes to Oregon football recruiting. These new recruits need to drop the wintheday hashtags and push what WT is saying... #dosomething #doingsomething

Would be a great get not only to get him, but to start a solid relationship with Bishop Gorman.

Dorian Thompson Robinson, bishop Gorman qb. He backed up Tate martell this year so not too much tape on him. He is highly regarded and a top 50 recruit for the 18 class.

All indications are that we will. He also has interest in Oregon, hopefully Taggart can get him back interested and get him here.

I bet he'll be rated even higher after his senior season is over.

Kid is legit, really good athlete (played WR at times just so they could get him on the field), and has a nice arm too. Really like some of the throws he can make. UCLA will probably be our biggest threat to signing him due to Fisch being there now.

I gotta imagine win the day will still be used in some capacity at least for a little bit, it is plastered every where, do something will be used more and more and eventually push out the win the day stuff I am sure. Gotta how aggressive thee coaches are though, the previous stuff, and Chip before the offers were so slow to develop. I know the concern is character and academics but Coach T and staff are no nonsense, he has made it very clear as the current players are finding out is you come in and study and maintain grades, keep your nose clean on and off the field and you are not handed a position you work to get it and maintain it. You have a better chance of getting the players you need to win championships when you are more aggressive with the offers, I think we finally see 1-2 5* blue chip and more high 4* guys come to Eugene now. I know a game hasn't even been played yet but I am more excited than ever for Duck football.
