2018 prospects - mods?

Post by Duckenstein »

Can someone create a thread listing 2018 targets with links that's stickied. ?

Also we could drop some current stickies that are old.

Could foster offseason discussion here and reap DT castoffs as they bail from that cesspool

Let's start with the first 100 and then in a few days the first 300... from Coach T and Cristobal

With how many recruits they intend to go after (250-300) this cycle, I'm not sure how feasible it'd be to track everyone.

79 offers for 2018 already! that's amazing. Shotgun blast an offer to every player in the top 300 with a first come first served basis and call it good. LOL

I'm working on a master 2018 prospect list. By position and interest level, with comments and descriptions when I can. The new recruiting approach, with all the offers and emphasis on the SE, is making it a much bigger project than in years past. Thus far I've done QBs, RBs, and WRs and working on o-line. I'll post it here in the next week or so.

Interesting results so far, it's a mix of who you would expect Oregon would pursue (top flight West Coast prospects) and recruits from the SE that Taggart, Cristobal, et al are already familiar with.

If you do this we'll sticky it and keep it updated as needed.

The main state's that taggart mentioned in his signing day article, were: Florida, California, Texas and Oregon. Also mentioned Ohio in passing but I think he was using it as an example that Oregon is a national brand. Really though, it's likely Florida, cali and Oregon that the coaches are going to be hitting and striking up relationships.

I'd think this would be obvious, but I need some confirmation on this. Wouldn't it behoove Taggart's group to get a feel from the current signees as to whether any former teammates still in high school who might have an Oregon lean already?
