Grant Minny Visit Updated

"My commitment to Oregon is still up there," he stated. "I haven’t de-committed or anything like that. I am going to take my official visit and go from there."
Gotta pay to read the rest.

That is really good news. If he wasn't swayed by a trip I say he stays with the Ducks.

Brewer must be a master recruiter because that program does not have near what Oregon has to offer. Most people talk about the weather in Oregon as a deterant, nothing like blizzards. Didnt D. Williams justs visit Minni too?

The Minnesota campus has a series of heated UNDERGROUND tunnels between all the buildings so that people don't die walking to class in the winter

Yeah, those tunnels are the only way you can walk around campus during winter when it's 10 below. My dad went to the University of Minnesota and said that walking in that kind of weather is the worst since a lot of the buildings on the east side and between the two campuses aren't connected. It makes you appreciate the weather we get in Oregon since all you need for winter is an umbrella and a sweatshirt, not a parka and snow boots.chapelhillduck wrote:The Minnesota campus has a series of heated UNDERGROUND tunnels between all the buildings so that people don't die walking to class in the winter

The last time I was in Minnesota for any amount of time, they were in the last couple days of a 2 week spell of snow and temperatures in the -25 F range... With a lovely breeze in the 20 MPH range.
The Mississippi was frozen solid enough they were having 4 wheeler (Pickups and SUVs) races on the ice, as well as airplanes landing on it.
Somehow, I just couldn't get excited about the idea of living there.

Was in Duluth for a year...and it gets COLD up there. Storms were cool too. Nice place...to visit. But it has nothing on Eugene or the state of Oregon as a whole. Plus .....they talk funny there. haha

I would say 2 of the other seasons are great. Spring and fall can be perfect; summer can be nice but the humidity in certain parts gets up to 95% and that gets unbearable with the high heat.echo31 wrote:Minnesota is great the other 3 seasons of the year ... just sayin'

Wow... I have never been to or even close to Minnesota, but from the comments posted here I don't think that I will be visiting soon!

Notice the plane that we flew on?

You're right. Spring and Fall are great and Summer is pretty good ... yes it is humid, but it isn't so bad when you're on the water swimming or fishing. With over 12,000 lakes, you're never very far from water.greenyellow wrote:I would say 2 of the other seasons are great.
