Chase Cota (WR)

Defensive Commits Possible:
Kalon Gervin (CB)
Already Committed:
Stephens (S)
Bolden (CB)
2-3 More Spots in backfield:

Re: Expected Commits
If we sign Isaiah Crocker, Devon Willaims, Warren Thompson, Braden Lenzy, Chase Cota, and Tre'Shawn Harrison. Does that go down as the best receiver class in Oregon history? Talk about a gifted list!

Re: Expected Commits
I'd expect LB Evan Tattersall to be on quack watch. Legacy recruit (father, Jon, played during the Brooks years), looking through twitter it looks like he's a lifelong Duck fan too. Looks like his recruitment is starting to pick up a bit of steam as of late (lots of offers coming in). Only 2* right now, but we already offered.

Re: Expected Commits
I still would like to see some elite prospects sign... yes...the 5 stars. Oregon gets one once in awhile but it would be nice to get 2. I can dream I suppose. The teams that win national championships usually have at least one or two of them. I don't think Oregon has any on its roster. Some say that Oregon can not get them because of the weather... but yet you see some commit to UW and they get about the same rain n Seattle as Eugene does. I do not buy the weather as an excuse. I think Taggart would say no excuses.

Our recent 5 stars include lache seastrunk, Colt lyerla, Thomas tyner and konton kaumatule
I would love the 5 stars but it's no guarantee

Yes we have had our share who don't pan out.. Cameron Colvin didn't pan out either. It is a proven fact, that if look at teams that have won championship over the last 15 years. they recruited very well, something, Oregon has not done as well. Maybe that changes this year. I would still take a couple 5 stars every year and trust they will pan out.

I am not sure anyone was disagreeing with you. Of course, we would love to have multiple 5*s.
Rating the "greatest class of a time" is a lot like rating an NBA draft. Kind of worthless. Who knows how these guys will work out, injuries, attitudes, departures etc. I don't know much, but I do know that we'll know whether this is the GOAT in 3-4 years. Saying so now is just to make us feel good.

The point is, we're in on what's looking like the best duck class by a wide margin.GoDucksIn09 wrote:Yes we have had our share who don't pan out.. Cameron Colvin didn't pan out either. I'm not worried about 5 stars if we can get 5 top 100 players. The difference is negligible.
Duck luck with five stars has been abysmal anyway. One success and probably 5-6 total busts over the past five years.

Re: Expected Commits
The great school have a 5* or two. But they have studs from top to bottom in most every recruiting class. So when a highly rated guy doesn't pan out there is a stud right behind him. Plug and play!Duckenstein wrote:The point is, we're in on what's looking like the best duck class by a wide margin.GoDucksIn09 wrote:Yes we have had our share who don't pan out..
