Sure do hope that Coach Joe is in HNL working overtime on Manoa, Sewell & Tuliaupupu. Hufanga has been in these guys ears for the past month trying to get them to go with him to SC....this truly sucks. Feb 20th can't get here soon enough!

I wouldn't put much stock into that. Same with Devon Williams being in Oregon gear yesterday.

Fwiw, jhop is all in on Williams to Oregon
Thinks we get battle and Ezeike too
Maybe Harrison
Maybe maybe maybe Sewell
At this point jhop is the only guy with info. Unfortunately this board is dead since the coaching change. I've tried scoopduck and the info is legit.
I prefer this board for quality discussion but jhop is dialed in

I've heard that Holland has been the best player there.

Sounds like his tune has changed on Sewell. He's been saying he was all duck for a long time. Maybe maybe maybe from all duck isn't very encouraging.Duckenstein wrote:Fwiw, jhop is all in on Williams to Oregon

Re: Sewell. As Karl pointed out, he was all-in on Sewell and predicted his commitment MULTIPLE times.
Seems as though this whole time, it was parents (Oregon) vs. kid (Alabama). Ultimately they'll likely let the kid do what he wants to do, so he's off to Tuscaloosa. Too bad, because the line really needs his athleticism. I'm a little bit worried with Cristobal going for beef instead of athletic ability.

Exactly...I was actually thinking about getting a membership but the Sewell situation has not exactly given me confidence in JHop.karlhungis wrote:Sounds like his tune has changed on Sewell. In many previous cases, it was usually the kid (wants Oregon) and the parents (want the other school) and it usually ends up with the kid going to the other school that the parents prefer. The tables have turned this time for a change, but it appears the end result will also not be working in our favor. But to be fair, I would never blame any kid choosing to go to bama or stanford.

I wouldn't put your faith in a vacuum of one kid. Every staff every year thinks they are getting a kid who doesn't pop. I'm certain coaches have been telling JHOP that Sewell was close all those times. He's talking directly to the staff. I think his membership is totally worth it, even if he misses on a few. Or even if the staff is telling him what they want fans to hear. Jhop's takes have been coming straight from the source of the spring as far as I can tell.Phenom wrote:Exactly...I was actually thinking about getting a membership but the Sewell situation has not exactly given me confidence in JHop.karlhungis wrote:Sounds like his tune has changed on Sewell. Re: 2018 Polynesian Bowl (Jan 20, Sat ESPN3 8 PM PST)
I get why a kid would want to go to Alabama if he just wants to play for a championship or get a good NFL look, which is very important. Otherwise, Tuscaloosa is pretty lame, and the school is just so-so. Literally at least 50 better places if you aren't looking solely at the NFL.alxtw wrote:In many previous cases, it was usually the kid (wants Oregon) and the parents (want the other school) and it usually ends up with the kid going to the other school that the parents prefer.
