Good news for safety depth next season and beyond, especially with Bridges moved to corner. I'm not sure Steve Stephens will ever pan out.....he just doesn't look very athletic.

I am pretty sure he has 2 to play 2.

I tried to get my two contacts on the support staff to get the coaches to offer Williams out of high school, so this is funny vindication to see him end up a duck after being a stud at Illinois.

Bennett will push for the free safety spot (Verone's position). He doesn't have the speed to play corner, but his instincts are off the charts. Think Erick Dargan when we made our last NC run.

He played in 2017 as a freshman, then played half a game in 2018 (suspended for the first 3 games then left the game with an injury before leaving the program). He's playing this season at San Mateo, so unless he can get the NCAA to give him the 2018 season back he has 2 to play 1.

Good player obviously. Of his finalists he choose the team with the most competition for a starting spot. Often times JC kids are attracted to teams with a glaring need as they have limited eligibility left.
