Much better Hall write up-Rivals

There is lots of good info in this thing. I'll give you the best few so I'm within the guidelines
-visit was an 8 out of 10
-only negative was scrambling to find something to do saturday night
-rehab facil's="so sick"
-steeler's fan so he watched DD's full rehab vid,etc
-really felt he could trust the coaches/program

He named no leader. May visit OSU this weekend. IF not he'll decide soon.

8 out of 10 is pretty low for us.... Seems like more of a courtesy grade.

I agree 8/10 sounds low but there were so many other descriptive things he said in the article that make me believe he really enjoyed the visit.

Sounds like a lot of the other recruits whose only complaint is the nightlife. But Eugene is a college town and is similar to most other college towns/campuses and what do students usually do on the weekends? Go to parties, maybe Oregon is not like ASU or Miami or someplace like that but a party is a party. On the plus side there is a lot of outdoor recreation activities to do in and around Eugene, so that is good. If his only complaint was not finding something to do on Saturday night and he visits and picks OSU, there is something wrong with that. Corvallis is 100 times worse than Eugene. However, I feel good pretty confident the Ducks get him.

After reading the article I think he is either UA or Cal bound. I think not having a WR coach and his comment about the nightlife are tell tale signs.

interesting that he said Autzen would be remodeled again to fill the other half of the bowl by his Junior season. That would make Autzen hold around 65 to 72 thousand people.

When's the last time you went out on the town in Tucson?

True, but Frisco/Cal has a lot more going down than Eugene if "that" is what you want out of your college experience.

I don't think Cal is in it anymore, if not for his trip to UO he would be committed to UA. Seems right now like it's between UA and UO, so we'll see.

I would actualy be a bit concerned if a primary factor of a college town were the "nightlife" considering these guys are too young to be going out clubbin' anyway. I would say Eugene holds many other desirable factors other than night life including: no gang warfare, outdoor recreation, close enough to Portland and all the nightlife you need, etc.

Many Sat. nights will be spent on the field any way. After he is here he will learn the town a lot better on his own.

This is the most interesting tidbit I found. Are there any legs to this?

I've thought the same way this year but look who he brought in last year...
Chip Kelly 2008

He even had Kelly Page until Oregon picked up some better recruits.

Chip obviously has the knack for recruiting top notch players... Look at who he is recruiting in 2009 and he's already picked up Ethan Grant for 2010.
