Any recruiting experts willing to help?

Would you guys mind putting eyes on my son's films? I truly value the opinions on this board, so I thought I would go out of my comfort zone and share this with the C4Q community. We are navigating the recruiting process and struggling to understand how best to get him exposure, especially during COVID. We'd love to hear any advice anyone can offer...we could use the help!

Oregon All State HM QB, 1st Team All Conference QB, so he has produced on the field. He has 2 DIII offers, with a few more coming pending admission's review. He is a 4.0 student so he is mainly hearing from the higher academic schools. (Pomona, Amherst, Tufts, Johns Hopkins, Ivy Leagues, etc.). He has had limited discussions with most of the Big Sky teams.

Which High School does your son plan on playing for this fall?

I know when I was in high school the coaches helped put together highlight reels from game film, and then copies were sent out to schools, even schools that players weren't interested in. The reason being that if the right school showed interest, then it would cause other schools to wonder what was going on.

Big Sky schools love guys like him. Portland State is naturally the school to look at. I don't have any connections, but coaches and grad assistants love when people do the work for them and make them look smart, and they're ALL on Twitter. Tweet his content out every day and get on some of theirs radar. Best of luck!

Here’s my honest assessment

Pros
- Great at making reads and seems to go through progressions
- fairly good at looking off safety
- decently mobile/fast
- accurate, especially in quick read RPO
- good in zone reads


Needs improvement
- footwork, getting planted, especially when shifting in the pocket
- weight/strength
- arm strength. Unfortunately, that’s really just a God given gift. Some folks are Justin Herbert and some aren’t. The lack of arm strength is what will likely hold him back from getting attention from the big boys. If he can do anything about just trying to get more zip or pop on his throws it could make a huge difference.

If he finds a school that is heavy on RPO and read option I think he could really well, especially as he continues to put in good weight.
